Our expertise includes all aspects of Transmission, Substation and Distribution systems for voltages ranging from 4160V to 500kV.\n*Hybrid Work Environment* 4 days a week in office in Calgary, 1 day a week from home.\nOpportunity:\nWe are currently seeking an Intermediate Transmission Line Engineer to join our team in Calgary to support the transmission lines design group. We offer a dynamic work environment with a highly experienced technical team, where you will be offered guidance and hands on training and continuously challenged in all aspects of the engineering and design process.\nResponsibilities:\nPrepare estimates, material take offs, scopes of work, survey packages and design packages. \nAssist in the preparation of engineering reports. \nComplete engineering calculations for transmission and distribution lines, and utility grounding systems. \nProvide line design and analysis using PLS Cadd software. \nConduct site visits for field reconnaissance during the project design phase and field inspections during the project construction phase. \nReview designs against applicable industry codes and standards as well as internal MHV standards. \nAct as Design lead on projects with guidance from Principal engineer \nActively promote Safety in Design. \nQualifications:\nA Bachelor’s degree in Civil , Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution. \nProven track record in transmission lines design of high voltage facilities. \nMinimum 6 years’ work experience. \n4+ years’ experience with PLS-CADD\nP.Eng. is required\nRegistered as an active member with APEGA or eligibility for registration. \nPreferred:\nPrevious experience leading a design team and mentoring junior engineers. \nNot quite right for you?
