It’s the curiosity, dedication, and innovation that drive our success and help us anticipate the future.\nPosition Summary:\nThis Senior Quality Engineering role independently designs, builds, and maintains automated tests for significant capabilities within the Entrust Agentic Trust SaaS platform. The role owns feature- and service-level quality across the development lifecycle, with a strong focus on automation, robustness, performance, and scalability in distributed, multi-tenant environments.\nWorking with Software Development, Product, Architecture, Security, and Cloud Operations, this role translates requirements and technical designs into risk-based test strategies and reliable automated coverage. The role understands how assigned services connect to the Identity, Authority, Execution, and Assurance planes, identifies defects early, and provides evidence-based recommendations on release readiness while mentoring less experienced engineers.\nKey Responsibilities\nOwn test planning and quality execution for complex features and services, including acceptance criteria, risk assessment, test design, automation, and release verification. \nDevelop and maintain code-based API, integration, contract, end-to-end, and regression automation; contribute reusable utilities and framework improvements aligned with shared standards. \nIntegrate automated suites into CI/CD pipelines, investigate failures promptly, and improve test stability, execution efficiency, and diagnostic output. \nDesign and execute load, stress, spike, and soak tests using representative SaaS workloads; analyze latency, throughput, errors, and resource utilization to identify scalability limits. \nValidate robustness under concurrency, retries, timeouts, dependency failures, interrupted workflows, and recovery scenarios; verify data consistency and resilience against agreed requirements. \nTest tenant isolation, role and permission boundaries, authentication, delegated authorization, and evidence integrity in partnership with Security and Software Development. \nCreate and maintain production-representative environments and synthetic or approved de-identified test data; validate service integrations, upgrades, migrations, and backward compatibility. \nInvestigate defects and production issues using logs, traces, metrics, and controlled reproduction; collaborate on root-cause analysis and regression prevention. \nCommunicate coverage gaps, defects, performance findings, and residual risks to stakeholders; provide clear service-level release-readiness recommendations. \nParticipate in design and code reviews, mentor engineers in automation and test design, and contribute to shared quality engineering practices. \nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. \n5+ years of professional software quality engineering or software development experience, with substantial hands-on test automation responsibility. \nStrong programming proficiency in at least one modern language and experience building and maintaining code-based automation suites and reusable test utilities. \nExperience testing SaaS services in cloud environments, including APIs, distributed-system behavior, asynchronous processing, and multi-tenant workflows. \nHands-on experience with performance and scalability testing, workload design, bottleneck investigation, and resilience validation. \nExperience with source control, CI/CD, automated testing frameworks, debugging, test-data management, and production telemetry. \nAbility to independently deliver complex testing assignments, make risk-based tradeoffs, and collaborate effectively with technical and nontechnical partners. \nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with identity, authentication, authorization, PKI, cryptography, zero-trust systems, or verifiable evidence. \nExperience with containers, Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, service virtualization, or fault-injection testing. \nExperience with Chaos Monkey or equivalent fault-injection tooling to test SaaS service robustness and recovery under simulated infrastructure failures. \nFamiliarity with agentic AI, MCP, LLM integrations, or testing workflows with nondeterministic outcomes. \nExperience testing regulated or security-sensitive products and maintaining traceable test evidence for assurance reviews. \nAt Entrust, we don’tjust offer jobs - we offer career journeys.
