This role involves working in a high-intensity environment where a team of 5 operators processes approximately 50 tonnes of lead-acid batteries during each shift.\nKey Responsibilities\nResponsibility for the Health and Safety of self and colleagues at all times.\nEnsure duties regarding Environmental Compliance and Waste Management Licensing Regulations are met at all times.\nOperate and monitor machinery used in the breakdown and processing of lead-acid batteries.\nPerform manual lifting and handling of heavy battery units, adhering to safety protocols.\nEnsure that the start and shut down procedures of all machinery is followed as instructed.\nComplete start up and shutdown procedure maintaining levels of good housekeeping within work area.\nProcess waste and operate machinery in accordance with the training and procedures.\nEnsure the correct specialised PPE is worn by self and others at all times.\nForklift Operation in accordance with training, processes and procedures.\nGeneral Site maintenance.\nComplete all administrative paperwork required.\nAny other duties as required.\n\nWorking Conditions:\n8-hour shift, made up of 6 hours processing materials and 2 hours allocated rest and recovery.\nPhysically demanding role involving repetitive heavy lifting.\nExposure to corrosive chemicals and toxic materials.\nMandatory use of PPE, including acid-resistant suits, gloves, boots, and respiratory protection systems.\nHigh-temperature and high-humidity environment due to processing equipment.\nShift-based work, which may sometimes include weekends. \n\nSkills, Knowledge and Expertise\nExperience of high standard of H&S.\nAbility to learn new systems and new machinery operations.\nAbility to work effectively in a team under pressure\nGood conflict resolution skills based on a ‘Can do’ attitude.\n\nWhy Work For Enva?\nEnva is committed to providing more than just jobs, we want to grow our business by offering career paths that match the aspirations of the talent that is increasingly aware of the need to protect the planet we all share.
