The role includes basic people-management responsibilities, including monitoring attendance and absence and reporting concerns or issues promptly to the Operations Manager.\nAdditional Information\nFull-time Team Leader position based in Stourbridge, working 40 hours per week\nThree-shift working pattern: 5:45am-2:15pm, 1:45pm-10:15pm and 9:45pm-6:15am, with flexibility to support operational requirements\ne role combines team coordination with hands-on support in SDA processing\nWork environment includes exposure to noise, dust and moving machinery\nPPE will be provided and must be worn as required\nINTERVIEWS TO BE HELD ON MONDAY 9TH NOVEMBER, TUESDAY 10TH NOVEMBER, MONDAY 16TH NOVEMBER AND TUESDAY 17TH NOVEMBER\nKey Responsibilities\nTeam Coordination: Provide day-to-day direction and support to employees working within SDA processing, allocating work and ensuring priorities are understood.\nSDA Processing: Support and participate in the safe sorting, handling, pre-picking, dismantling and processing of Small Domestic Appliances, ensuring materials are directed to the correct recycling streams.\nPerformance and Output: Monitor workflow, quality and productivity throughout the shift, helping the team achieve daily processing targets and escalating issues to the Operations Manager.\nAttendance and Absence: Monitor attendance, punctuality and absence within the team, maintain accurate information and report concerns, patterns or staffing gaps to the Operations Manager in a timely manner.\nPeople Support: Support new starters, provide task instruction and on-the-job guidance, reinforce expected standards of conduct and performance, and raise any people concerns promptly with the Operations Manager.\nHealth, Safety and Compliance: Promote safe working practices, ensure procedures and PPE requirements are followed, complete relevant checks and report hazards, incidents, near misses or equipment defects immediately.\nQuality Control: Check that SDA materials are processed and segregated to the required quality, environmental and company standards, taking prompt action where standards are not met.\nCommunication and Handover: Communicate operational priorities, changes and issues clearly to the team and provide accurate shift updates and handovers to the Operations Manager and other Team Leaders.\n Housekeeping: Maintain high standards of housekeeping and ensure work areas are organised and free from avoidable hazards.\n\nSkills, Knowledge and Expertise\nPrevious experience in a team-leading, supervisory or senior operative role within recycling, waste, manufacturing or a similar industrial environment\nPractical understanding of SDA processing, material segregation or production operations is desirable\nAbility to organise work, set clear expectations and provide day-to-day guidance to a team\nGood awareness of health, safety and environmental standards\nReliable and organised, with the ability to monitor attendance, maintain accurate information and escalate concerns promptly\nClear communication skills and the confidence to address routine issues appropriately\nWillingness to work hands-on in a physically demanding environment and lead by example\n\nWhy Work For Enva?\nEnva is committed to providing more than just jobs, we want to grow our business by offering career paths that match the aspirations of the talent that is increasingly aware of the need to protect the planet we all share.
