We're looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join our international R&D team, working with colleagues in the UK and Germany to develop the next generation of environmental monitoring technology.\nWhat We are Looking For\nEssential Qualifications & Experience\nDegree in Electronic Engineering, Embedded Systems, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline.\nStrong commercial experience developing embedded software in C/C++.\nExperience with embedded microcontrollers and real-time embedded systems.\nGood understanding of embedded hardware, electronic schematics and hardware/software integration.\nExperience using Git and modern software development practices.\nStrong debugging, testing and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent communication skills and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary engineering team.\nDesirable Skills\nExperience with STM32, Renesas, Microchip or Atmel microcontrollers.\nKnowledge of MISRA C, CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.\nExperience with embedded Linux or RTOS.\nUnderstanding of functional safety or safety-critical software (IEC 61508/SIL).\nFamiliarity with FPGA/VHDL development.\nExperience using Jira, Confluence or similar Agile development tools.\nPython, MATLAB or LabVIEW experience.\nThe Role\nYou will develop software for sophisticated sensing and monitoring products, taking projects from concept through to production.
