You'll lead a team of around eight to ten engineers based in Brno, helping them grow both technically and professionally while building and scaling our SaaS platform. You’ll mentor senior and lead engineers on the team, shape technical discussions and architectural design, and contribute to the organization’s expansion in the region.\nPerformance Objectives\nDirectly manage one or more teams that include full-time employees and contractors to build and support our SaaS applications.\n\nEnsure that engineering teams have access to the skills, tools, processes, etc. that they need to produce high-quality, on-time software that meets our customers' expectations.\n\nRecruit, on-board, mentor, and grow software engineers.\n\nContribute to design, architecture, process, and development discussions.\n\nBe a strong technical leader and an independent, critical, and analytic thinker.\n\nRegularly participate in strategic planning discussions to provide insightful ideas on process improvements and scaling-related challenges.\n\nProvide guidance to teams and other departments in identifying product and technical requirements.\n\nAdvocate for the right outcomes with data, conviction, and diplomacy.\n\nFoster engineering excellence and a collaborative culture.\n\nCompetitive Candidate Profile\n3+ years of experience directly managing a software team delivering SaaS products.\n\nBachelor of Science in Computer Science or related engineering degree.\n\nEffective communication, leadership, and people management skills are mandatory.\n\nTake full ownership of your work and take responsibility every step of the way.\n\nExperience with Agile frameworks like Scrum and with continuous integration / continuous delivery.\n\nExperience with cloud-based infrastructure and platform services.\n\nAgile, proactive, comfortable working with ambiguous specifications, and can prioritize on the fly.\n\nExperience in building available, scalable, secure, and resilient systems.\n\nStrong ability to break down large, complex problems into small, simpler ones to solve technical and business challenges.\n\nSolid leadership skills with the ability to influence others.\n\nStrong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with non-technical personnel.\n\nIn-depth knowledge and expertise with software development strategies/methodologies, software tools, and release coordination and planning for bringing commercial products to market.\n\nAdvanced experience with at least one of the programming languages listed below.\n\nExcellent understanding of data structures and algorithms.\n\nProven record of accomplishment in hiring and managing diverse, deeply
