The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Kotlin and Java, experience building high-quality Android applications, and a solid understanding of modern Android development practices.\nExperience with Android TV, OTT platforms, video streaming applications, or media players will be an added advantage. We welcome candidates with strong core Android development skills who are eager to work on diverse applications across mobile and TV platforms.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign, develop, test, and maintain Android applications using Kotlin and Java.\nBuild responsive, user-friendly, and high-performance application interfaces using modern Android development frameworks.\nDevelop UI components using Jetpack Compose and/or XML-based layouts.\nIntegrate REST APIs and third-party SDKs into Android applications.\nImplement asynchronous programming using Kotlin Coroutines and Flow.\nFollow MVVM, Clean Architecture, and other established Android development best practices.\nUse dependency injection frameworks such as Hilt or Dagger.\nIdentify, debug, and resolve application issues to ensure stability and reliability.\nOptimize application performance, responsiveness, memory usage, and battery consumption.\nCollaborate with Product, UI/UX, Backend, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver quality software.\nParticipate in code reviews, technical discussions, testing, and production issue resolution.\nContribute to application development for Android TV and OTT platforms as required by project needs.\nWhat We're Looking For\n2-4 years of professional Android development experience.\nStrong proficiency in Kotlin and good working knowledge of Java.\nSolid understanding of Android SDK, application lifecycle, activities, fragments, services, and app architecture.\nHands-on experience with REST API integration, JSON parsing, and third-party library integration.\nFamiliarity with Jetpack components, including ViewModel, LiveData or StateFlow, and Navigation.\nExperience with Kotlin Coroutines and Flow for asynchronous operations.\nUnderstanding of MVVM or Clean Architecture principles.\nFamiliarity with Git, debugging tools, and Android Studio.\nKnowledge of application performance optimization, memory management, and troubleshooting.\nGood problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.\nGood to Have\nExperience developing applications for Android TV or other TV-based platforms.\nExposure to OTT, video streaming, or media applications.\nFamiliarity with Media3 / ExoPlayer or other media player SDKs.\nUnderstanding of HLS/DASH streaming protocols and Widevine DRM.\nKnowledge of Jetpack Compose for TV, Android TV Leanback libraries, D-pad navigation, and focus management.\nFamiliarity with Hilt/Dagger, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.\nExperience working on applications deployed across multiple Android devices or form factors.\nNote: Android TV, OTT, streaming, and DRM experience are preferred but not mandatory.
