The Operations Manager will also maintain and monitor facility and staff for regulatory compliance and safe behavior in accordance with all federal, state, local, and customer requirements.\nPrimary Responsibilities (Essential Functions):\nMaintain facility operational documentation to include reports, licenses, procedures, order requirements, etc.\nAccomplish production staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.\nMaintain staff by selecting, orienting, and training employees; developing personal growth opportunities.\nMaintain workflow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.\nCompletes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.\nMaintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.\nEnsures operation of equipment by calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques.\nProvides manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data; answering questions and responding to requests.\nCreate and revise systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, and budgetary and personnel requirements; implementing change.\nMaintain safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.\nResolve personnel problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action.\nMaintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; bench marking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.\nContribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.\nWork Environment:\nAbility to regularly access and use general office equipment including phones, computers, copiers, etc.\nMust be able to work in a busy, often distracting work environment that is generally climate controlled.\nAbility to work independently under minimal supervision.\nAbility to lift up to 20 pounds unassisted on an occasional basis.\nAbility to sit, stand or walk for long periods of time.\n Education:High school diploma or GED, Associates or Bachelors preferred\n\n Experience:Minimum of 8 years of Facility Supervisory experience\nMinimum of 2 years of mechanical experience - Welding, Fabrication, General Maintenance\nMinimum of 5 years construction equipment operational knowledge of: Excavators, Wheel Loaders, Screeners, Truck Scale\nMaterials processing experience\nFacility Asphalt/concrete/processing plant experience\nWillingness and ability to wear company provided personal protection equipment including eye protection, steel toed shoes, hard hat, Tyvek coveralls, and respirator\nExtremely organized and attention to detail required\nAbility to deal politely and professionally with customers and/or coworkers\nAbility to follow directions or instructions\nAbility to use a computer to communicate, create, and access information\nLabor relations /employee management experience\n\n Yearly Salary $81,500-$89,500\nBenefits: Comprehensive benefits package includes paid time off policies, as well as health, dental, vision, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid volunteering and more.
