Headquartered in Boston, Veolia has more than 10,000 employees working at more than 350 locations across North America.\n The Onsite Project Manager will work full-time at a customer location, with responsibility to supervise and coordinate all activities for the receipt and shipment of hazardous waste materials in accordance with applicable Federal, State, and local regulations and company policies, practices and procedures. This position will execute environmental compliance tasks to support the customer’s environmental plans, permits and programs. The primary responsibilities will be management and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous wastes.\nActs as daily point of contact with customer and outside entities for environmental compliance activities\nMonitor waste accumulation areas, assisting as needed with identification, segregation, profiling, labeling and staging\nAssist with waste characterization of various waste streams\nSupervise, plan and schedule all work activities related to receipt and shipping of waste ensuring internal deadlines are met\nWork with on-site teams daily to monitor waste and recycling programs and maintain swaps and pickups as needed.\nPrepare and provide of customer data, metrics and/or reports as required\nInternally support and monitor customer requirements, to ensure Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) are met/exceeded\nFacilitate and conduct compliance inspections at the customer location and implement corrective actions based on results of compliance inspections\nCoordinate incoming waste and outbound loads including managing paperwork\nConduct Safety Meetings to ensure that all employees comply with all job safe operating procedures including equipment maintenance.\nEnsure a clean and orderly work area is maintained at all times, proper chemical storage, proper labeling and handling techniques, and proper use of personal protective equipment\nProvide production reports to management\nSupervise the direct shipping, receiving, packaging, and processing of hazardous waste materials in compliance with standard operational procedures and regulatory requirements\nSupervise sampling for waste stream identification and perform spot testing to assure safe and appropriate consolidation of waste streams\nSupervise segregation, transfer and compacting procedures according to company policies, job safe practices, and quality assurance guidelines, and correct any deficiencies\nMaintain compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements\nReport and respond to plant emergencies as needed in accordance with the Contingency Plan.\nMakes recommendations and/or approvals on salary adjustments, promotions, transfers, and dismissals within their assigned areas.\nPromotes Safety and Security initiatives across the entire team within their assigned areas.\nPerforms other related duties and/or project work as required or requested.\nWork Environment\nWillingness and ability to work in a hands-on manner to execute key initiatives and activities. \nMust be willing and able to abide by Clean Earth’s Core Values and Code of Conduct. \nRequired to wear company-provided personal protective equipment including eye protection, foot protection, hard hat, Tyvek coveralls, and respirator. \nWillingness and ability to travel via automobile, commercial airline and other public transportation as needed. \n Education:\nBachelor’s degree in an Environmental/Science or Business-related field\nExperience: (Required minimum of years of relevant experience.)\nMinimum 2 years of relevant industry experience with hazardous waste\nMinimum 3 years of experience in a business or project management-based role\nMinimum 2 years of managing an operations team.\n40-hour Hazwoper and 8-hour refresher certification\nSkills: (The skills listed are the abilities and knowledge required to perform the job effectively.)\nKnowledge of RCRA, DOT, OSHA and DEA Regulations as they relate to waste characterization and the transportation of hazardous waste\nPrior experience with DOT shipping, packaging, and labeling requirements for hazardous waste\nPrior experience reading and interpreting signs, labels, waste documents, manifests, procedures, and regulations\nBasic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint\n Starting salary - $95,000 - $95.000\nBenefits: Comprehensive benefits package includes paid time off policies, as well as health, dental, vision, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid volunteering and more.
