Headquartered in Boston, Veolia has more than 10,000 employees working at more than 350 locations across North America.\n The Waste Processing Supervisor is a key position in overseeing the details of every order and ensuring they are executed through effective communications within the team and outside teams, departments, customers, transporters, etc.\nMaintain operational documentation including but not limited to reports, licenses, procedures, DOT requirements, and order requirements.\nSupervise team of technicians and oversee large projects and orders from receipt to settlement.\nCommunicate with other sites to coordinate inbound and outbound shipments and supplies.\nManage scheduled pickups and deliveries, including maintaining communication with customer service\nteam to resolve issues or clarify requirements.\nEnsure compliance with all federal, state and local permit requirements.\nCommunicate to management facility needs, difficulties, and changes in operations.\nSupervise segregation and packaging material for transport along with the completion of required paperwork in a legible, accurate, and timely manner in accordance with appropriate regulations and\nCustomer/Clean Earth policies, practices, and procedures.\nProvide training and coaching to technicians and operators on-the-job in equipment operation, service line processes, and necessary paperwork. \nOperate fork trucks and other heavy equipment when properly trained to move materials for storage/loading and off-loading.\nPromptly report any incidents, injuries or safety concerns to management. \nAdhere to and abide by Clean Earth safety and security policies and procedures (e.g.Cardinal Rules, Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), etc.) \nPerform other reasonably related duties as assigned by management.\nResponsibilities may vary based on site level and/or location.\nAbility to stand, walk, bend, and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods.\nAbility to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly without assistance and up to 75 pounds unassisted onoccasion.\n\nAbility to push and pull up to 500 pounds using a pallet jack, hand truck, or other device to assist.\nAbility to work outdoors in various weather conditions and indoors in non-climate-controlledenvironments.\n\nVisual acuity to read labels and documentation and sufficient depth perception to safely operate forklifts.\nAbility to hear vehicle warning chimes, alarms, and other audible safety signals.\nAbility and willingness to wear company-issued personal protection equipment (PPE), including, but notlimited to, safety glasses, hard hat, steel-toed boots, gloves, Tyvek coveralls, and respirator. \n\nAbility to work overtime hours as needed based on business needs.\n Education:\nHigh school diploma or GED\nAssociate’s degree in Chemistry or Environmental Science-related field preferred\nBA or BS degree preferred\nExperience:\n2+ years of experience working with hazardous materials\n1+ years of experience managing a team\n2+ years of experience sampling and receiving hazardous waste preferred\nSkills:\nForklift certified with possession of safe driving record preferred\nKnowledge of RCRA, DOT, EPA, and state waste regulations\n Ability to operate manual equipment such as a pallet jack to load and unload trucks\nAbility to use a computer for web-based training and inventory tracking purposes\nAbility to understand and respond to written and verbal English\nAbility to deal politely with customers and team members\nAbility to lead an hourly team\n Starting salary - $85,000-$88,000\nBenefits: Comprehensive benefits package includes paid time off policies, as well as health, dental, vision, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid volunteering and more.
