The drive to pioneer advancements continues today, as we develop smart, simple diagnostic technology.\nJob Description\nAbout the Role\nEnviroLogix is looking for an Associate Production Scientist, based in our Portland, ME facility. You will be a key member of our team, with primary responsibilities including:\nFollow established safe work practices and work in a safe manner.\nFollow EnviroLogix safety policies and procedures for reporting any unsafe or hazardous condition to their supervisor or the Environmental, Health, and Safety department for corrective action.\nAdhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs), and standard work.\nRecord accurate material usage and inventory transactions for test material.\nPrepare controls and standards for in-process testing.\nPerform functional testing of in-process and completed product.\nUse common laboratory equipment, including pH meters, balances, and spectrophotometers.\nQualify raw materials and reagents.\nPrepare buffers, critical reagents, and kit components.\nTabulate quantitative data processing, reporting, and analysis, including performance tracking and trending.\nParticipate in troubleshooting and root cause analysis for production and equipment issues.\nIdentify, segregate, and document non-conforming product.\nParticipate on cross-functional teams.\nWork closely with production and R&D to facilitate product transfer, including review of documentation, pilot production, and scale up.\nMeticulously and timely complete quality system documentation.\nWork on continuous improvement projects; individually and as a part of a team. \nThis role will at times be expected provide cross functional support in the EnviroLogix production process. While not a primary responsibility, this is a standard expectation in the Operations team to support seasonality spikes. \nReports To: Technical Manufacturing Supervisor\nSkills Required:\nExcellent attention to detail and high quality standards.\nWorking knowledge of computer-based systems including Microsoft Word and Excel.\nAbility to communicate effectively, work smoothly with a team, cooperate with and support co-workers.\nAbility to work effectively as a member of a team as well as in an independent role.\nSelf-motivated, execution oriented with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills; ability to effectively present technical data cross-functionally.\nRequirements:\nHighschool Diploma or GED\nAssociates or Bachelors degree in Biology, Chemistry, or related STEM field preferred. Relevant years of experience may substitute. \nPhysical Requirements:\nAbility to work in a laboratory environment and office environment\nAbility to stand for extended periods of time\nAbility to utilize a computer for extended periods of time\nAbility to lift 25 pounds regularly\nThe anticipated hiring range for this position is: $45,000-70,000 annually.
