This role is responsible for assisting customers with product selection, maintaining store organization, supporting inventory activities, and helping ensure the retail environment remains clean, organized, and welcoming.\nThe Retail Associate works closely with Store Leadership, Operations, and Service teams to help customers find the right products and solutions to maintain safe, clean, and enjoyable pool environments. This position plays an important role in supporting customer satisfaction, store appearance, and daily operational success.\nThe ideal candidate is friendly, reliable, team-oriented, and eager to learn about pool products, water care, and retail operations.\nCore Responsibilities\nCustomer Service & Sales Support\nGreet customers in a friendly, professional, and helpful manner\nAssist customers with product selection, pool care questions, and general retail inquiries\nProvide recommendations on pool chemicals, equipment, accessories, toys, and seasonal products\nEducate customers on basic pool maintenance and product usage as needed\nPromote store programs, seasonal promotions, and service offerings when appropriate\nDeliver excellent customer service and maintain a positive shopping experience\nRetail Operations & Store Support\nOperate point-of-sale (POS) systems and process transactions accurately\nHandle cash, credit card transactions, returns, and exchanges responsibly\nAssist with opening and closing procedures as assigned\nMaintain clean, organized, and fully stocked sales floors, checkout areas, and displays\nSupport daily operational tasks to ensure efficient store functionality\nInventory & Merchandising\nReceive, unpack, organize, and stock inventory shipments\nEnsure products are properly labeled, displayed, and merchandised according to company standards\nMonitor stock levels and communicate inventory needs or shortages to management\nAssist with cycle counts, inventory organization, and seasonal product setup\nHelp maintain a clean, safe, and organized inventory and retail environment\nTeam Collaboration & Communication\nWork collaboratively with store managers, service teams, and fellow associates to support customer and operational needs\nCommunicate customer feedback, operational concerns, and inventory needs to leadership\nSupport a positive, team-oriented, and customer-focused work environment\nAssist with additional operational or retail responsibilities during peak seasonal periods\nMaintain professionalism during all customer and team interactions\nSafety & Compliance\nFollow company safety procedures related to retail operations and pool chemical handling\nMaintain awareness of safe storage and handling practices for pool chemicals and supplies\nEnsure retail and storage areas remain clean, organized, and compliant with company standards\nSupport a safe environment for customers and employees at all times\nQualifications\nRequired Qualifications\nHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred\nPrevious customer service, retail, or sales experience preferred\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills\nPositive attitude and customer-service-oriented mindset\nAbility to work weekends, holidays, and flexible schedules during peak seasons\nAbility to lift and carry 25-50 lbs including pool products, chemicals, and supplies\nAbility to work in a fast-paced retail environment\nPreferred Qualifications\nKnowledge of pool products, pool chemicals, or outdoor living products preferred\nExperience operating POS systems and handling retail transactions preferred\nInterest in learning pool water chemistry and product applications preferred\nExperience within seasonal retail or service-based industries is a plus\nSkills & Competencies\nCustomer service and communication skills\nRetail sales and product support\nOrganization and attention to detail\nTeam collaboration and adaptability\nInventory handling and merchandising support\nProblem-solving and customer engagement\nReliability and professionalism\nAbout Us\nEaston Select Group is a Massachusetts-based company specializing in pool services and backyard leisure products.
