We are the world’s largest producer of sustainable wood pellets, which provide a low-carbon alternative to fossil fuels.\nEnviva is looking for a Utility Operator that is responsible for all aspects of continuous operation of the plant including safety, equipment operation, monitoring, machine set up, and cleaning. \nResponsibilities\nOperate mobile equipment to include skid steer, forklift, lull, and front-end loaders \nInspect equipment daily. \nPerform basic maintenance to keep equipment in clean, good working order. \nResponsible for other duties assigned for the job. \nSupport and carry out activities with routine inspections and maintenance of the dryer, furnace, emissions, and environmental equipment. \nPerform daily preventative maintenance equipment and standard work cleaning activities of emissions equipment strainers, tooling changes, housekeeping, and wash downs. \nQualifications\nKnowledgeable and experienced with heavy equipment operation \nA quick learner, ability to work with little to no supervision. \nSafely and efficiently performs all essential functions of the job \nAbility to understand and follow written and verbal job instructions. \nAbility to operate the machine in a timely and safe manner. \nPreferred Qualifications - What Sets You Apart\nHigh school diploma or GED. \nSuperior cognitive and systems knowledge to achieve production goals. \nProficient in mathematics and measurement. \nProficiency in maintaining the proper paperwork. \nWorking conditions\nMust be able to work in outdoor environments and occasionally in temperatures above 100 degrees and below 32 degrees \nWilling and able to work in a hot, humid, cold and noisy industrial environment \nWilling and able to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, to include wearing safety equipment.\nAbility to work 12 hour rotating shift schedule. \nPhysical requirements\nWilling and able to perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up to twelve (12) hours a day\nWilling and able to work around moving equipment and machinery\nWilling and able to pull and lift, up to 50 lbs.\nAbility to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.\nOther compensation: performance bonus, equity, and relocation assistance for eligible candidates.\nBenefits:\nMedical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance\nEducation reimbursement \n401(k)\nHSA employer contributions\nPaid time off.\n12 Paid holidays.\nParental leave\nThe final pay offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, the type of years and experience within the industry, education, training, etc.\nSalary Range\n$19.09—$19.70 USD\nThis position is not eligible for visa support.\nEEO Statement \nEnviva is dedicated to the principles of equal employment opportunity (EEO) in any term, condition or privilege of employment.
