You'll play a critical role within the Technical Publications department by learning about and handling various editorial tasks associated with the technical publications process. This position demands an outstanding ability to deliver quality work while juggling multiple responsibilities and maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times.\nTypical job duties include:\nLearn about Company manual creation and revision processes\nAssist other Editors with proofreading and editing for developing and updating Company manuals\nAssist with reviews and editing of publications to ensure conformity with established formats\nAssist with comparing source documents with approved current manual for accuracy\nAssist in revisions for Company User Guides\nLearn about and assist with Company manual printing, distribution, and publication processes\nQualifications\nIn this role, the Editor Intern must be customer orientated, have a positive and optimistic outlook with a strong work ethic. The Editor Intern must also have the ability to effectively and efficiently complete work assignments.\nPosition Requirements\nMinimum age of 18\nEnrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in: Technical Communications, English, Aviation Maintenance/Technology\nBe a rising junior, senior or graduate stuedent at the start of the internship\nMinimum of 2.75 or above cumulative GPA\nPrevious proofreading and editing experience\nProficiency in Microsoft Office applications\nDemonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing\nMust be highly organized and possess a strong attention to detail\nPerform other duties as assigned\nPossess the right to work in the United States\nPlease note: The description is intended to provide a brief overview of the position.
