Gives work directions, resolves problems, and sets deadlines to ensure timely completion of work.\nResolve operational problems during tour of duty which includes working in the operation during peak or irregular periods.\nMay generate and implement quality improvement ideas.\nResponsible for meeting profitability and cost control goals; develops and monitors budget and spending, actively seeks cost reduction ideas, and monitors lost time.\nCoordinates activities of the ramp service team with related activities of other departments to ensure efficiency and economy.\nEvaluates current procedures and practices for accomplishing ramp service objectives to develop and implement improved procedures and practices.\nEnsures compliance with all operations (safety/government requirements) during tour of duty.\nInvestigates discrepancies and compiles statistical data for compliance purposes.\nCoaches and counsels personnel and provides guidance to their team on ramp service and performance issues.\nEncourages employee teamwork to generate and implement individual and team's best ideas.\nCoordinates various aspects of the operation including scheduling, hiring, and training.\nEvaluate team performance through corporate quality control measurements, such as observations, feedback, data and customer complaints and compliments.\nQualifications\nWhat are we looking for?\nRequirements\nMinimum age: 18\nCollege degree or equivalent amount of work experience\nPossess a valid, unexpired and unsuspended REAL ID-compliant, state driver’s license; or otherwise maintain all necessary authority and identification to travel for business needs as required; some license restrictions may prohibit a candidate from being considered for this role.\nPrevious experience in a team lead, supervisory or managerial capacity\nPrevious work experience in an airport operations environment\nStrong interpersonal, communication and PC skills\nMay be required to work rotating shifts, nights and weekends\nWilling and able to work non-standard work schedules when necessary due to changing or unplanned operational needs\nDemonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing\nAbility to effectively and efficiently manage multiple and often competing priorities\nPossess the legal right to work in the United States\nMust be able to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language\nPrevious ramp operational experience preferred\nExperience managing various workgroups including management, non-management and contract labor work groups preferred\nPlease note: The description is intended to provide a brief overview of the position.
