If you're looking for a role where your technical expertise makes a real impact every day, we'd like to hear from you.\nWhat you'll do\nYou'll be responsible for the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of plant equipment and systems while maintaining compliance with Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA) requirements, regulatory standards, and company policies. You'll operate and monitor boilers, chillers, CHP units, heat pumps, generators, and auxiliary equipment while maintaining system performance and responding to changing operational requirements.\nYou'll perform plant rounds, inspections, testing, troubleshooting, lockout/tagout activities, equipment isolations, and operational adjustments. You'll also support outage and maintenance activities, maintain accurate operational records, and contribute to safe and effective shift handovers. When scheduled, you may also perform duties associated with the 3rd Class Shift Engineer classification.\nBeyond day-to-day operations, you'll help strengthen workforce capability through knowledge sharing, support succession planning efforts, and contribute to maintaining a culture of accountability, teamwork, reliability, and continuous improvement\nWhat we're looking for\nValid Ontario 2nd Class Operating Engineer Certificate issued by TSSA.\nStrong working knowledge of power plant and thermal generation systems, including boilers, CHP equipment, chillers, heat pumps, generators, and auxiliary equipment.\nKnowledge of water treatment processes and water chemistry testing procedures.\nUnderstanding of TSSA requirements, plant operating procedures, and safe work practices.\nAbility to troubleshoot operating issues and make sound operational decisions.\nStrong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.\nAbility to work independently in a plant operations environment.\nProficiency with computerized plant monitoring and maintenance systems is considered an asset.\nValid Class G Driver's Licence with a satisfactory driving record, where required.\nWHMIS and other applicable safety certifications are considered assets.\nWhy Enwave\nAt Enwave, you'll join a purpose-driven organization focused on delivering innovative, sustainable energy solutions that support a lower-carbon future.
