This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to support a U.S. Government customer. You will provide assistance in all aspects of network management from network design through implementation, maintenance, and upgrading of existing networks.\nAnalyzes design, specifications, and related documents\nImplements communication system requirements to support the distributed functionality of a software engineering environment\nAnalyzes network characteristics (e.g. traffic connect time, transmission speeds, packet sizes and throughput), troubleshoots problems and recommends procurement of and/or modifications to network components.\n The Level 3 Network Engineer shall possess the following capabilities:\nDesign solutions, integrate, configure, deploy, test and provide support for numerous types of network devices, interfaces and methodologies\nOptimize end-to-end system performance and dataflow management\nConfigure and optimize the network to connect various front-end and back-end components\nCoordinate with the system engineering and dataflow efforts to ensure proper mission operations with minimal down time\nFacilitate the implementation of high-speed, scalable, fault-tolerant network topologies as applicable to WAN and LAN design.\nImplement specific network solutions to support server requirements to include load-balancing, VPN's, firewall contexts, and network address translation (NAT) where appropriate\nMinimize network latency and maximize data throughput through design analysis and network performance monitoring tools\nLead large efforts of dynamic requirements and scale\nWork with System engineers and cross organizational teams to define requirements.\nResolve complex network problems, operate network analyzers, WAN test equipment and network simulators\nRequirements\nTo be considered for this position you must have the following:\n Possess an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance\nTwelve (12) years’ experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. \nBachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited college or university is required.\nFour (4) years of additional network engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.\nFive (5) years’ experience with the following Network Tools; Whats Up Gold and Netflow. \nFive (5) years’ experience with the following SIGINT Tools; Common View/Max View, Triton, and TUMMS. \nEmployment decisions are based solely on qualifications, merit, and business needs - not on any protected characteristic.
