This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to support a U.S. Government customer. The SME Cloud Engineer is the lead authority on Azure and Microsoft 365 solutions within the organization. This role provides strategic cloud guidance, oversees cloud transformations, and ensures secure, scalable, and compliant architectures across mission-critical systems.\nDefine enterprise-wide cloud strategy encompassing Azure infrastructure, M365 service integration, and operational resilience.\nLead full lifecycle cloud transformation initiatives including planning, design, execution, and sustainment.\nArchitect secure Azure solutions with advanced services like Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Synapse, Logic Apps, and Sentinel.\nDirect enterprise-level M365 migrations (e.g., cross-tenant, government cloud, or hybrid Exchange scenarios).\nDrive implementation of zero-trust security, data loss prevention (DLP), identity protection, and Microsoft Purview compliance features.\nConsult with business and technical leadership to align cloud solutions with strategic objectives.\nEvaluate and integrate emerging Azure and M365 technologies into existing environments.\nEstablish policies, standards, and governance frameworks for both Azure and M365 operations.\nRepresent cloud interests during audits, technical reviews, and C-level planning sessions.\nRequirements\nTo be considered for this position you must have the following:\nPossess an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance\n Certifications required: Two (2) Cloud Certifications beyond fundamentals in representative cloud where work is performed (Azure or AWS)\nEducational requirements: Bachelors Degree\n Years of experience required: 12+ years\nEmployment decisions are based solely on qualifications, merit, and business needs - not on any protected characteristic.
