For more information about Eos (NASDAQ: EOSE), visit eose.com.\nThe Electrical Engineer is accountable for developing and designing battery management system electronics and controls for newly built energy storage systems, as well as maintaining existing designs and support the creation of automated test equipment for the product components.\nResponsibilities\nBasic design and implementation of low-level circuit design with electrical isolation, microcontroller controls and analog front-end\nCircuit board layout with high-impedance analog signals and creepage/clearances for high voltage\nDesign to meet safety certification standards, such as UL\nPerform verification testing of electronics component and overall product designs\nGeneration of reports on design rationale, test methodologies, and results to support engineering reviews and product documentation\nMaintain project documentation and assist in creating Operation Manuals\nProvide technical support for manufacturing teams and field operations on released products\nProvides technical guidance to engineering teams, production staff, and service personnel\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nKnowledge of designing and validating electrical circuit boards, including hands-on testing and performance evaluation.\nAbility to work in lab environment and understand how components fit into a larger system\nWorking knowledge of embedded control systems and their applications\nSolid software development skills with C, C++ and optionally the Linux operating system\nAbility to diagnose issues and implement design improvements for enhanced reliability and performance\nFamiliarity with design for EMC and availability to trace down EMI issues\nAwareness of safety certification process to standards such as UL\nCompetent skills with communications protocols such as TCP/IP, CAN, i²C and SPI; use of Modbus\nCapability to select and integrate off-the-shelf component and equipment\nStrong cross-discipline system skills\nUnderstanding of hardware and physical system being controlled is required\nBasic knowledge of hazard and safety protocols of high voltage equipment and other aspects of working with large-scale battery systems\nAbility to self-direct to a goal and achieve independent success\nA team-player attitude and strong written/verbal communication skills are a must\nEducation and Experience\nBachelor's degree in Electric Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering Technology required\nMinimum of 2 years experience required\nAdditional Experience\nHardware and design, debug, and testing.
