For more information about Eos (NASDAQ: EOSE), visit eose.com.\nThe Supplier Development Engineer is accountable for leading and implementing quality plan(s), resolving quality production and efficiency problems, and functioning as the pivotal information source to suppliers and internal departments when supply quality issues occur.\nResponsibilities\nWork with Engineering, Procurement, and suppliers to qualify new products including first article inspection reports and capability studies.\n\nLead discussions and nonconformance reporting of internal defects with suppliers.\n\nEvaluate, initiate, and take corrective action for major quality problems with suppliers. Document and follow through with nonconformance reporting within Eos.\n\nChampion support for supplier corrective actions (SCARs), 8D containment, any root cause analysis, and corrective action documentation and implementation.\n\nValidate and record supplier deviations using operational and quality processes.\n\nCreate procedures and work instructions to support and maintain company ISO 9001 certification.\n\nEducate and instruct appropriate plant personnel in relevant quality procedures, incoming quality control documentation, and non-conforming material dispositions.\n\nDrive supplier actions to verify and improve product and process quality at the supplier’s location to reduce the need to incoming inspection activities.\n\nIndependently manages ongoing relationships and resolves conflicts as needed\n\nConduct supplier visits and perform supplier audits, when necessary.\n\nSupport Supplier APQP (Advanced Product & Quality Planning) process to develop suppliers and products to the point of successful/on-time PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) and full production readiness\n\nPerforms capability assessments with key suppliers to evaluate the application of advanced quality tools, manufacturing capabilities, material management, and lean maturity\n\nAssists in the development, approval, and maintenance of material specifications, vendor instructions, quality assurance procedures, supplier documents such as Quality Control Plans\n\nPost, calculate, and analyze routine statistical data.\n\nEvening and weekend work may be required as company expands, and job duties increase.\n\nOther duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.\n\n10-30% Travel\n\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nDetailed knowledge of corrective action/problem-solving methodology including 8Ds, 5 whys, etc.\n\nKnowledge and experience of Quality systems like ISO 9001, and product qualification and development using PPAP methodology.\n\nKnowledge of statistical quality control techniques.\n\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate technical information with suppliers and with other internal organizations.\n\nEducation and Experience\nBachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, manufacturing engineering or business administration required.\n\nMinimum of 5 years of experience.\n\nAt least five (5) years of experience in QA/QC supplier system implementation and management, with three (3) years in a light manufacturing environment.\n\nTravel\nOvernight/North America Travel: 10-25%\n\nWorking Conditions\nOffice Environment - Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time and occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.Required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
