For more information about Eos (NASDAQ: EOSE), visit eose.com.\nThe Software Engineer is responsible for the design, development, implementation, testing and maintenance of new and existing software in various hardware platforms running RTOS, Linux, and Windows operating systems. The position will involve working with electronics, mechanical, and systems engineers in developing and testing utility scale battery power control and communication systems.\nResponsibilities\nImplement software algorithms and functions within a cross-functions development team of scientists and engineers.\n\nParticipate in requirement understanding, definition, and negotiation with internal stakeholders.\n\nAttain a thorough understanding of the existing projects and solutions to then contribute to troubleshooting and upgrading of the solutions according to requirements.\n\nIndividually develop software, ensuring efficient program logic and data manipulation with generally accepted programming standards and techniques.\n\nTest and debug software by applying debugging tools/software to ensure the code meets standards and all other requirements. Contribute to efforts to automate testing using in-house built tools.\n\nDesign, debug, and test simulation programs and tools.\n\nSupports certification testing and compliance to safety standards.\n\nDocuments and maintains documentation of new and existing designs.\n\nOther duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.\n\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nStrong written and verbal communications skills.\n\nHighly independent, task-oriented self-starter able to identify and support a high-level team mission.\n\nEducation and Experience\nBachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or allied engineering discipline required.\n\nMinimum of 2 years' experience.\n\n2+ years of experience programming for deployment in a Linux and Windows environments\n\nExperience as a DevOps engineer handling deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting.\n\nAmple experience as a tester of software developed by others.\n\nSkilled in multiple programming/scripting languages including Python, C++, etc.\n\nWorking familiarity of version control in software development.\n\nAlgorithm development and dynamic system mathematical modelling.\n\nSoftware development life cycle.\n\nSoftware packaging for x86, x64, and Arm processors including Docker container, and others.\n\nWorking Conditions\nOffice Environment - Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time and occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.Required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
