For more information about Eos (NASDAQ: EOSE), visit eose.com.\nOverall Job Summary\nThe Analytical Chemist supports analytical testing activities for raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products. This role is responsible for conducting laboratory analyses, operating analytical instrumentation, maintaining laboratory documentation, and supporting product development, quality, and supplier qualification initiatives.\nJob Responsibilities\nPerform physical, chemical, and instrumental analyses on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products using wet chemistry and analytical techniques.\n\nOperate and assist with the calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of laboratory instrumentation, including FTIR, UV-Vis, SEM-EDS, XRF, pH meters, conductivity meters, density meters, and other analytical equipment.\n\nPrepare samples, conduct testing, record observations, and accurately document results in laboratory systems and notebooks.\n\nAssist with material characterization and testing activities to support product development, quality investigations, and supplier evaluations.\n\nOversee daily analytical laboratory operations, maintenance activities, and compliance with established laboratory procedures.\n\nAct as a point of contact for R&D on chemical analysis and material evaluations.\n\nAssist in managing analytical lab inventory including consumables, standards, and gases\n\nFollow and improve on Standard Operating Procedures for lab equipment and processes\n\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance laboratory efficiency, testing capabilities, data quality, and process reliability.\n\nEducation/Experience\nBachelor’s degree in chemistry, materials science, or related STEM field required\n\n2+ years of analytical laboratory experience\n\nSkills/Abilities:\nWorking knowledge of analytical chemistry principles and laboratory practices.\n\nBasic knowledge of analytical instrumentation, including SEM-EDS, XRD, FTIR, UV-Vis, TGA-DSC, and related laboratory equipment.\n\nKnowledge of method development, validation, calibration, and troubleshooting techniques.\n\nUnderstanding of quality systems, Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), ISO standards, and laboratory documentation requirements.\n\nKnowledge of laboratory safety regulations, chemical handling procedures, and environmental health and safety requirements.\n\nBasic experience with supplier qualification, quality investigations, and specification development.\n\nTravel\nOvernight/North America Travel: Less than 10%\n\nLocal Travel\n\nWorking Conditions\nOffice Environment - Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time and occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
