As a Maintenance Engineer, you'll play an important role in keeping our accommodations, facilities, recreational areas, and resort grounds safe, functional, and welcoming for our guests.\nWe are currently seeking a Part-Time Maintenance Engineers to support primarily PM/second-shift operations, including weekends and holidays.\nWhat You'll Do\nAs a Maintenance Engineer, you will help maintain the resort's facilities and accommodations while responding to guest needs and addressing maintenance issues throughout the property.\nKey Responsibilities:\nRespond promptly to guest maintenance requests and complete routine maintenance and minor repairs throughout the resort.\nPerform inspections of guest accommodations before and after occupancy and address maintenance needs as necessary.\nTroubleshoot and perform general repairs involving plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, drywall, painting, and other maintenance systems.\nInspect playgrounds, pool and spa areas, recreational amenities, and other common areas to ensure they are safe and in good working condition.\nTest pool and spa chemical levels and make appropriate adjustments, where applicable and as trained.\nMaintain resort vehicles, equipment, tools, and maintenance areas.\nIdentify and report maintenance deficiencies, safety hazards, accidents, and injuries promptly.\nEnsure resort facilities, accommodations, common areas, and public access routes remain safe, functional, and presentable.\nMaintain an organized maintenance workshop and storage areas.\nFollow all safety procedures when operating vehicles, tools, equipment, and machinery.\nProvide courteous and professional service to guests and team members.\nComplete maintenance documentation and written reports as needed.\nAssist with special projects and other duties as assigned.\nWhat We're Looking For\nRequired Qualifications:\n2 years of relevant maintenance experience.\nReliable, dependable, and self-motivated with a strong work ethic.\nAbility to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple maintenance requests during a busy shift.\nGeneral knowledge and hands-on experience with maintenance and repair work.\nWorking knowledge of several areas such as plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, and general facility maintenance.\nAbility to safely operate hand tools, power tools, maintenance equipment, and applicable machinery.\nStrong customer service and communication skills.\nBasic computer proficiency, including email and internet use.\nAbility to complete clear and legible written reports.\nValid driver's license.\nAbility to work outdoors in varying seasonal temperatures and conditions.\nAbility to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.\nAbility to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 10 pounds frequently or constantly, with or without reasonable accommodation.\nAvailability to work PM/second shifts, including weekends and holidays, based on business needs.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nPrevious maintenance experience in a hotel, resort, campground, RV resort, or similar hospitality environment.\nHeavy equipment experience.\nExperience troubleshooting multiple maintenance systems.\nGeneral knowledge of grounds maintenance and facility operations.\nSchedule\nThis is a Part-Time PM/Second Shift position, with a primary focus on evening coverage.\nTypical hours are approximately 2:00 PM-10:30 PM, with flexibility based on operational needs.\nWeekend and holiday availability is required.\nEducation\nHigh School Diploma or GED preferred.\nWhy Join El Capitan Canyon?\nAt El Capitan Canyon, we believe exceptional guest experiences begin with a well-maintained, safe, and welcoming resort.
