The Network Technician will support the Project Management and Network Engineering team to carry out a best in class service in the deployment of networking hardware for Global customers.\nPlease Note:\nThis position is not based at company premises and will require travel to various customer sites around the APAC region. (Must be based in Sydney) \nKEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES\n\nInstalling network hardware, components and cabling.\nTrouble shooting and resolving issues with network cabling, copper and fibre.\nInspecting and testing copper and fibre optic lines to ensure they adhere to industry standards.\nAbility to rack and stack networking hardware within onsite and off-site racks in accordance with requirements.\nAbility to provide technical support through various means of communication.\nCollaborate easily with network engineers and project managers.\nAssisting network engineers with network design, implementation and problem resolution.\nBe able to cable networking rooms and racks to data centre cabling requirements and standards.\nCreate site survey reports on MDF and IDF readiness including power & cooling and rack status.\nPerform both Pre and Post Wifi surveys using industry standard software and equipment.\nMeet quality, productivity, turnaround time and other expectations.\nAny other ad hoc duties as reasonably required by the company and within the competency of the post-holder.\nThe job description should not be regarded as restrictive or definitive but as a broad guide to the demands of the position.\nKEY REQUIREMENTS\nGood experience of networking hardware - routers, servers, switches, PDU's, copper termination/testing and fibre optic cabling/testing.\nHands on experience with major manufacturers of routers, switches and wireless.\nExcellent organizational, interpersonal, time management, written and oral communication skills.\nAbility to read technical network diagrams, schematics and port maps\nAbility to interpret rack build layouts and bills of materials\nGood understanding of networking concepts and a desire to build skills in this area\nCandidate must be able to lift up to 50 pounds\nExcellent analytical, problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail.\nAbility to diagnose basic technical problems and find the root cause.\nAbility to work in fast paced dynamic environment\nPrevious years' experience in Network Engineering Deployments for large-scale networks in a corporate environment.\nMust be available to work outside of normal business hours\nMust be available to travel to various customer sites globally\nEXPERIENCE LEVEL: 2+ years Network deployment experience and/or Data Centre Experience\nEDUCATION: Preferred CCNA / JNCIA/ CompTIA\nEOS is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive work environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
