and Responsibilities\nDesign, implement, and continuously improve internal controls, accounting policies, and governance frameworks to safeguard assets and ensure financial integrity as the organization grows.\n\nLead the implementation and maintenance of financial systems and tools, driving automation and process improvement across the accounting function.\n\nBuild, mentor, and scale a high-performing accounting team, establishing clear roles, workflows, and development paths as the organization grows.\n\nPrepare and review quarterly and annual financial statements and reports.\n\nAnalyze financial performance, variances, and trends, providing actionable insights to senior management.\n\nEnsure accurate and timely completion of financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.\n\nMonitor budget performance and variance analysis, advising management on financial adjustments.\n\nEnsure compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and company policies.\n\nOwn the external audit relationship, coordinating with auditors and ensuring timely resolution of findings.\n\nProvide financial insights and support for strategic planning and decision-making.\n\nCollaborate with other departments to align financial strategies and systems with overall business objectives.\n\nLead the integration of new M&A firms into EP Wealth's financial processes, controls, and systems.\n\nSupervise and continuously improve daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.\n\nEnsure accuracy and completeness of financial transactions and reconciliations.\n\nQualifications\nBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA, CFA, or CMA certification preferred).\n\n8-10+ years of progressive accounting management experience, including experience at both a public accounting firm and one or more operating roles, preferably in a high-growth environment.\n\nDemonstrated experience building and scaling financial processes, internal controls, and governance frameworks from the ground up.\n\nHands-on experience selecting and implementing financial/accounting systems (ERP, consolidation, reporting tools, or similar).\n\nProven experience building, developing, and leading accounting teams.\n\nStrong knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.\n\nIndustry experience in RIA (highly preferred) or Wealth Management required.\n\nProven experience as a Controller or similar role in finance and accounting.\n\nProficiency in accounting software and financial management systems.\n\nExcellent analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.\n\nStrong attention to detail and ability to work under
