Are you aware that this is a 6-month fixed-term contract? An extension may be possible, but we can’t promise it, so please apply only if that works for you. We are adding you because several important workstreams are running at once: a large-scale platform migration, a data gap analysis, and the ongoing quality of our merchant data. This is a hands-on role at the intersection of data, operations and merchant relationships. You will build trusted relationships with merchants while working closely with Product, IT, Finance and our internal programme teams. The role is based in Haywards Heath on a hybrid model, with three days in the office and two days at home. Remote working is possible on request.\nYour responsibilities will be:\nSet up and lead regular merchant meetings, agreeing agendas, driving decisions and following up on actions\nProcess merchant price changes end-to-end, validating accuracy and meeting turnaround deadlines\nOwn key data workstreams in the merchant migration programme, including preparing and QA-ing data output files and tracking outstanding merchant data\nLead the gap analysis of the data we hold against what the platform needs, and close the gaps together with internal teams and merchants\nImprove merchant profile quality so profiles are complete, accurate and support sales conversions\nAct as the lead contact between merchants and our Product and IT teams during platform integration, escalating blockers and keeping stakeholders informed\nServe as first point of contact for merchant platform queries, from navigation questions to payment-related issues\nAnalyse merchant performance data and build reporting with clear commentary for the Merchant Director\nYou’ll be successful in this role if you:\nDeliver your migration data workstreams on time, with output files QA-ed and signed off by stakeholders\nClose the data gaps so the platform has complete and accurate data at launch\nProcess merchant price changes accurately and within turnaround deadlines\nBring merchant profiles up to a standard that gives the sales team what they need to convert\nProvide the Merchant Director with reporting that surfaces trends and anomalies, and leave merchants feeling well supported\nWhat you’ll be doing (daily):\nRun check-ins and working sessions with merchants and hold them to agreed deadlines\nValidate and process incoming price changes against turnaround deadlines\nQuery data in SQL and BI tools to find gaps, check migration files and spot anomalies\nChase outstanding merchant data and update the tracker\nAlign with Product, IT and Finance on integration progress and flag blockers early\nAnswer merchant questions, troubleshoot where you can and hand over to the right team where you can’t\nReview merchant profiles and agree with merchants what good looks like\nWhat you should bring:\nProven experience managing merchant, client or partner relationships in a commercial setting\nExperience in an operations or analyst role within payments, fintech or a related financial services environment\nSQL skills, which are required for this role, as you will query data directly\nExperience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau or Looker\nExperience working in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment, including with senior merchant contacts\nFamiliarity with CRM platforms and merchant or customer data management tooling is a strong plus\nYour language profile:\nEnglish is required.\nYour track record:\nYou have led regular meetings with merchants, clients or partners and driven external parties to deliver on agreed actions\nYou have led structured analytical work, mapping what exists, identifying gaps and running a programme of work to close them\nYou have interrogated data directly with SQL and BI tools to produce reporting and insight\nYou have kept multiple workstreams moving across stakeholders with competing priorities\nYour competency profile:\nOwnership: You take responsibility for outcomes, follow through to resolution and don’t wait to be told what to do.\nAttention to detail: You take care with your work, notice when something doesn’t look right and fix it.\nAnalytical thinking: You structure complex problems, find patterns and anomalies in data and turn them into clear insight.\nStakeholder management: You balance competing priorities across merchants, Product, IT, Finance and programme leadership.\nCommunication and influence: You present, negotiate and adapt your style for merchants, technical teams and senior stakeholders.\nSelf-direction: You manage a varied workload and push progress forward without being chased.\nWhy You Should Join Us\nJoin at the inflection point: Epassi is scaling from a federation of acquired businesses into one growth company, backed by two of the world's leading growth investors\nJoin a People team being rebuilt around modern ways of working, strong data and AI as a genuine multiplier\nReal influence, fast -
