The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the field team and customers with technical issues or inquiries, generating internal and customer-facing technical documentation regarding our inverter-based products, and building out tooling for troubleshooting.\nRequirements\nResponsibilities\nProvide technical support to the field team and customers, addressing and resolving complex technical issues or inquiries related to our inverter-based products.\nDevelop and maintain internal and customer-facing technical documentation, ensuring clarity and accuracy.\nDesign and build tooling for troubleshooting to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of technical support.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, and customer service, to ensure comprehensive support and documentation.\nConduct training sessions for the field team and customers to improve product knowledge and troubleshooting skills.\nMonitor and analyze technical support metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.\nStay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in inverter-based technology to provide informed support and documentation.\nAbility to understand and comply with all customer and EPC Power safety policies.\nExperience commissioning multi-MW energy projects\nExperience with typical commercial and industrial electrical power (480Vac, 3p)\nStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills\nAbility to work well within a team and clearly communicate technical progress and challenges\nWilling to travel up to 25% of the time\nDesired Skills\nBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or a related field, and more than 5 years of relevant work experience\nProven experience in technical support, preferably with inverter-based products.\nExpert problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.\nProficiency with PSCAD or similar modeling software\nFamiliar with typical commercial and industrial cabinet wiring, documentation, wiring harnesses\nExperience with NI/Labview, Python, MatLab/Simulink, and/or C programming languages\nExperience with CANBus and Modbus Communication\nHands on lab skills, prototyping, testing, and cable harness fabrication\nMust be familiar with typical lab equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters, soldering\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear and concise technical documentation.\nProficiency in building and using troubleshooting tools.\nProjects a professional image and strong business acumen during customer interactions\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.\nStrong organizational skills and attention to detail.\nBenefits\n401(k) with company matching\nMedical, dental, and vision insurance\nDisability and life insurance\nFlexible Spending Account (FSA)\nEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)\nPaid Time Off (PTO)\nTuition reimbursement\nEmployee Incentive Program (EIP)\nEPC Power is an equal opportunity employer.
