You'll also collaborate with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, using strong communication and relationship-building skills to contribute to project success.\nReporting to the Manager, Embedded Engineering, you'll receive day-to-day direction and project assignments from leaders and engineers within the Stormwater Planning team. This environment will provide opportunities to broaden your technical knowledge, gain exposure to a variety of planning projects, and continue developing toward your professional engineering goals.\nWe welcome applications from internal and external candidates.\nWhat you’d be responsible for\nSupporting Stormwater Planning Studies using a strongunderstanding of EPCOR's water systems.\nGathering information from resources across EPCOR Water, EPCOR Utilities, and external partners to support Stormwater Planning Engineers.\nAcquiring the resources and developing strategies needed to deliver assigned tasks and project work.\nMonitoring, measuring, and reporting on the progress of assigned tasks, making timely adjustments or communicating changes to support project timelines, and updating dashboards and schedules as required.\nTracking and recording time spent on project-related tasks as required.\nAssisting in reviewing planning processes and best practices while ensuring compliance with EPCOR policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.\nBuilding effective working relationships with internal stakeholders, including Engineering, Planning, Project Management, Operations, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams, as well as external stakeholders such as contractors, consultants, regulators, suppliers, and vendors.\nDeveloping planning documents in alignment with EPCOR's policies, procedures, and values.\nDemonstrating a high-performance, safety-focused, accountable, innovative, and collaborative approach while contributing to a positive and easy-to-do-business-with culture.\nWhat’s required to be successful\nAn Engineering degree (Civil, Environmental, Electrical, Mechanical,or Process) \nEngineer-in-Training designation (EIT) with APEGA (ortheability to attain) in good standing\n2+ years of experience in water linear asset engineering design and / or planning engineering, including Co-op experience\nProficientin Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Visio, ArcGIS\nExperience with hydrologic/hydraulics design and modelling tools is desirable\nAbilityto understand and navigate information from SCADA/WISKI/database systems\nAbilityto understand and interpret design/structural drawings for Stormwater Management Facilities (ponds, control structures, maintenance holes, etc)\nAbilityto understand and interpret stormwater flow paths / piping path in GIS software\nUnderstanding ofprocess flow diagrams (PFD) and process & instrumentation diagrams (P&ID) \nExperience executing small to medium tasks within larger engineering or planning studies under the supervision of more experienced engineers\nAbility to plan and organizework to deliver results, meet project timelines, and maintain high-quality standards.\nConduct cost estimating and alternatives cost-benefit analyses\nAs thesuccessful candidate, you have strong communication skills and are comfortable working with people at all levels of the organization. You're organized, able to manage multiple priorities, keep work moving forward, and provide updates on progress when needed. You take initiative to learn and understand corporate policies, professional requirements, and the operational environment around you. You're eager to build your knowledge of planning and utility operations, adaptable when priorities change, and comfortable learning new systems, software, and technology.
