The purpose of this baseline survey is to generate national, urban-rural, and regional estimates of Blood lead level (BLL) among children 6 to 59 months of age and Women of reproductive age (WRA) residing in households with an eligible child, which can then be used to scale up the efforts to include other target populations. The findings will also provide evidence to guide future surveillance, policy development, and public health interventions. Therefore, EPHI calls for qualified health professionals to apply for the data collectors’ position.\nMajor duties and responsibilities:\nActively participate and successfully complete field team training\nRead the enumeration area map and delineate the survey area\nConduct eligible study participant listing\nCollect survey data following study protocol and principles of ethical data collection\nProvide appropriate information to study participants before specimen collection.\nPerform venous blood collection safely and professionally\nAccurately identify, label, handle, and maintain the integrity of collected specimens in accordance with laboratory procedures.\nMaintain patient privacy and confidentiality\nReport incidents, injuries, or unsafe field conditions immediately to the team leader\nApply infection prevention and control measures, occupational safety practices, and proper waste management procedures.\nReview each completed questionnaire for completeness before leaving the respondent's house.\nEnsure the quality of the collected data.\nUpload data to server using handheld devices\nEnsure timely and safe storage and transportation of collected specimens\nManage the inventory and proper storage of reagents and supplies utilized in the field\nStay at the assigned study site until the survey completion period\nReport all best practices and challenges to the team leader\nRequirements\nJob Requirements\nBSc degree or above in Medical Laboratory, Nursing, Health officer or any health-related field\nTwo years of professional experience\nCurrent professional registration or license, if required locally.\nExperience in Enumeration areas mapping and household listing\nExperience in survey data collection using a handheld device\nExperience in blood sample collection, especially with under-five children, is an advantage.\nMust be in good health as the field work may demand extensive travel on rough roads\nWillingness to take on additional responsibilities\nAble to work in stressful situation\nMust be willing to work in any assigned parts of the country.\nKnowledge of the Ethiopian healthcare system\nRequirement Skill\nGood interpersonal communication\nTeam spirit\nDuty station/location:\nThe selected candidate will be assigned to any regions and re-assigned to other regions as necessary.\nLanguage: \nFluency in one or more local language is an advantage.\nHow to apply\nNote Interested applicants can register in Online through only https://ats.ethiojobs.net send their CVs and relevant documents at the address given below within 07 days from the first appearance of the announcement\nEthiopian Public Health Institute\nRemarks: Please attach copies of transcripts, academic degree, work experience letters together with the application.
