From character and level design to competitive gameplay and system design, help shape the future of interactive entertainment at Epic.\nLEVEL DESIGN INTERN\nWhat You'll Do\nEpic Games is looking for a Level Design intern to work with our gameplay team on an unannounced project in the Fortnite ecosystem. In this role, you'll be embedded with the gameplay team, helping to craft gameplay spaces that delight players with fresh experiences. As an intern, you will work closely with the Level Design team here at Epic, and be a part of a cross-discipline development team that owns the vision and drives to create innovative content which expands the Fortnite universe.\nIn this role, you will\nWork closely with level designers and environment artists to learn what makes successful landmarks and POIs\nWork in the Unreal Engine using modular kits to design visually appealing and fun locations that follow gameplay rules\nAssist other designers by helping improve existing landmarks and POIs\nAttend playtests, provide feedback, and identify practical solutions to problems\nWhat we're looking for\nUnreal Engine experience is required\nDirect involvement with prop placement, lighting, mood/atmosphere and design markup\nPassion for games with a wide breadth of game knowledge\nStrong interest in BR and multiplayer games with an understanding of what makes them work\nExceptional communication skills and the ability to take feedback and direction on assigned tasks\nFast learner who meets deadlines\nThis internship has a flexible start date in 2027.
