This role is critical to the design, implementation, reliability, and security of Epic’s network infrastructure, ensuring seamless connectivity and optimal performance across corporate offices, data centres, and virtual environments.\nYou will be responsible for building, maintaining, and securing IP networks that support business-critical systems and services. Working closely with internal IT teams, external vendors, and stakeholders, you will ensure high availability, strong security posture, and continuous improvement of our network landscape.\nThis role requires a proactive, hands-on engineer with strong troubleshooting skills, a solid understanding of modern networking technologies, and the ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team. Participation in troubleshooting and support activities for operational issues is a key part of this role.\nThe position also involves participation in a 24×7 on-call roster, supporting business-critical systems and ensuring service continuity outside standard working hours.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign & Implementation:\nDesign and implement network architectures and blueprints aligned with business and technical requirements\nInstall, configure, and maintain network hardware including routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless access points\nImplement and manage IP addressing schemes, VLANs, and routing protocols\nMaintenance & Support:\nPerform routine network health checks, upgrades, and patching activities\nProvide technical support and troubleshooting for LAN, WAN, and wireless infrastructure\nSupport end-users, on-site teams, and internal stakeholders with network-related issues\nNetwork Security:\nAdminister firewalls and security appliances, enforcing network security policies and best practices\nImplement and manage secure communications, including VPNs and IPSec tunnels\nMonitor threats, support incident response, and contribute to ongoing security improvements\nMonitoring & Optimization:\nMonitor network performance, availability, and capacity\nDiagnose and resolve outages, faults, and performance degradation\nIdentify opportunities to improve network efficiency, resilience, and scalability\nDocumentation & Reporting:\nMaintain accurate network diagrams, standards, and configuration documentation\nProvide operational reports and input for capacity planning and upgrade projects\nContribute to planning and execution of network expansion and improvement initiatives\nCore Competencies and Experience\nDegree or diploma in Computer Networking, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field\nProven experience working as a Network Engineer or in a similar networking role\nHands-on experience supporting enterprise network environments\nTechnical Skills\nStrong understanding of IP networking and network infrastructure concepts\nExperience configuring and troubleshooting:Routers, switches, firewalls, controllers, and wireless access pointsLAN and WAN environments\n\nSolid knowledge of network protocols and technologies, including:TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, QoSVLANs (802.1Q), wireless standards (802.11)\nVPN and security protocols (IPSec)\n\nNetwork security experience;
