Engineering Team Lead

As an Engineering Team Lead at Epicor, you will be a hands-on technical leader who designs and delivers innovative software solutions while guiding a small team of developers. You will help architect scalable systems, solve complex technical challenges, support engineering excellence, and ensuresuccessfuldeliveryoffeaturesfromplanningthroughreleaseandongoingsupport.Weareseekingapplicantswithstrongtechnicalexpertise,acollaborativeleadershipapproach,andtheabilitytobalancebusinessprioritieswithlong-termproducthealth.

Whatyouwillbedoing

• Architect,develop,anddeliverhigh-qualitysoftwaresolutionsthatalignwithbusinessgoals,technicalstandards,andlong-termproductstrategy.
• Leadasmallteamofdevelopersthroughcoaching,mentoring,onboarding,careerdevelopment,andongoingteamsupport.
• Driveengineeringexcellencethroughcodereviews,technicalguidance,testingpractices,developertooling,anddevelopmentstandards.
• PartnerwithProductManagement,QualityAssurance,andengineeringteamstoplan,estimate,prioritize,andcoordinatedeliveryofnewfeaturesandenhancements.
• Ownteamexecutionbybreakingdowncomplexinitiatives,removingblockers,managingtechnicalrisks,andsupportingsuccessfulreleasesandpost-releaseactivities.
• Fosteracultureofcollaboration,accountability,continuousimprovement,andclearcommunicationacrosstheteamandbroaderorganization.

Whatyouwilllikelybring

• 5+years’experienceinfull-stacksoftwaredevelopmentusingJavaScript,TypeScript,Python,orsimilarprogramminglanguages.
• ExperiencebuildingapplicationswithReact.js(preferred),Angular,orVue,alongwithNode.jsandRESTAPIframeworkssuchasExpressorFastify.
• StrongSQLknowledge,includingquerydesign,performanceoptimization,databasemigrations,andtroubleshooting.
• ExperiencewithDocker,Redis,event-drivenarchitectures,backgroundjobprocessing,andqueuingconcepts.
• Provenabilitytodesignscalablesolutions,navigateambiguity,solvecomplextechnicalchallenges,andmakesoundengineeringdecisions.
• Strongcommunication,collaboration,andmentoringskillswithexperiencehelpingengineersgrowthroughcoaching,feedback,andtechnicalleadership.

• Previousexperienceservingasateamlead,technicallead,peoplemanager,ormentorforasoftwaredevelopmentteam.
• Experienceleadingsprintplanning,retrospectives,estimation,onboardinginitiatives,andprocessimprovementefforts.
• Strongunderstandingofsecurityanalysis,permissioningmodels,andscalabledistributedsystemdesign.
• ExperiencewithmoderndevelopmenttechnologiesandpatternssuchasRedux,MobX,Zustand,Zod,Tailwind,SASS,sockets,Redis,AWSLambda,AmazonSQS,RabbitMQ,orsimilartools.
• ExperiencedevelopingAIpipelines,AI-poweredendpoints,oragent-supportedarchitectures.
