You’ll work across application development, integrations, APIs, databases, and release processes while helping ensure Epicor’s distribution solutions remain reliable, scalable, and ready for what’s next.\nWhat You'll Be Doing\nPlan, design, develop, test, and maintain software systems and applications.\nProvide technical leadership on complex development initiatives and projects.\nPartner with Product Development, Product QA, and other cross-functional teams to ensure change, testing, and release requirements are met.\nInvestigate, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects in partnership with Product QA.\nMentor, coach, and provide technical guidance to other developers.\nDeliver formal and informal technical training.\nRecommend and implement software development best practices.\nIdentify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation, continuous integration, and process optimization.\nEvaluate emerging technologies, development practices, and industry trends for potential use in Epicor products and processes.\nPromote consistent engineering standards and help ensure adherence to Epicor development practices.\nContribute to technical decision-making and help teams deliver high-quality solutions within established timelines.\nRepresent Epicor's technical expertise at internal and external events, as appropriate.\nWhat You'll Likely Bring\n10+ years of progressive software development experience, including demonstrated expertise in Windows Forms development.\n3+ years of experience developing applications using VB.NET, including web and/or Windows Forms applications.\n4+ years of experience working with software solutions in the distribution industry.\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related field.\nExperience with software testing methodologies and defect resolution.\nDemonstrated ability to lead technical work and help teams meet project deadlines.\nStrong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.\nAbility to propose, evaluate, and implement new technical ideas.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nExperience mentoring, coaching, and developing other technical professionals.\nStrong customer-service mindset and ability to collaborate effectively across teams.\nAbility to act as a technical thought leader and change agent.\nWhat Could Set You Apart\nExperience integrating third-party applications and controls into .NET applications.\nExperience integrating OLE Control Extension (OCX) controls into .NET applications.\nExperience working with WebSockets.\nFamiliarity with REST APIs and HTTP GET and POST methods.\nFamiliarity with XML and JSON.\nExperience developing Windows Services, Web Services, and IIS applications.\nExperience with Multi-Value database structures or NoSQL concepts.\nExperience with Git version control.\nExperience with Visual SourceSafe (VSS).\nExperience with Jira or similar project-tracking tools.\nFamiliarity with credit card processing.\nExperience within the automotive aftermarket parts supply chain.\n#LI-HYBRID #LI-MB2\nAbout Epicor\nAt Epicor, we’retruly a team.
