Enabled by modern platforms and AI, you’ll do the most meaningful work of your career and see your impact at scale.\nJob Description:\nThe Opportunity\nEpiq is looking for a technical leader who is equally comfortable leading people and getting into the details of SQL.\nAs a Senior Solutions Architect Manager, you’ll lead managers and technical professionals responsible for complex, data-intensive solutions while remaining close enough to the technology to review T-SQL, troubleshoot performance issues, guide technical decisions, and contribute hands-on when needed.\nThis is not a pure people-management position. We’re looking for an established technical manager with recent T-SQL experience who can provide credible technical leadership while managing people, projects, priorities, and stakeholder relationships. David identified recent T-SQL experience, management experience, and strong communication as the three primary requirements.\nWhat You’ll Do\nLead, coach, and develop managers and technical professionals responsible for complex data-driven solutions.\nRemain technically engaged by reviewing SQL/T-SQL code, answering technical questions, troubleshooting issues, and contributing hands-on when needed.\nProvide guidance around SQL Server development, query tuning, database performance, and solution design.\nWork with extremely large and complex datasets. The hiring manager described tables containing billions of rows and an overall data environment involving approximately a trillion or more rows.\nLead large projects while balancing multiple priorities and deadlines.\nPartner with clients and their data experts to discuss technical topics such as incoming data, incomplete files, data rollups, and other data-processing considerations.\nTranslate complex business requirements into practical technical solutions.\nBuild strong partnerships across technical teams, business stakeholders, and leadership.\nHelp your teams navigate periods of changing priorities and deadline-driven work.\nWhat We’re Looking For\nRequired\n5+ years of experience managing technical teams.\nCurrent or recent experience in an established technical management position.\n10+ years of SQL Server and/or relational database experience.\nAdvanced knowledge of SQL Server and recent hands-on T-SQL experience.\nStrong experience with query tuning and database performance optimization. The hiring manager identified performance experience as a must-have.\nExperience working with large, complex datasets.\nStrong people-management and technical-leadership capabilities.\nAbility to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to technical and nontechnical audiences.\nExperience managing large projects and changing priorities.\nComfort collaborating directly with clients and technical stakeholders.\nBased in the United States.\nNice to Have\nExperience working with data at significant scale, including datasets containing billions of records.\nExperience automating outgoing file transmissions and receiving/loading incoming files.\nExperience with C#, ASP.NET MVC, JavaScript, Angular, React, or related software-development technologies.
