Application Engineer - RDT\nKey Responsibilities\nTechnical & Application Support\nUnderstand customer requirements and recommend suitable rock drilling tools, products, and technical solutions.\nProvide technical presentations, product demonstrations, and application guidance to customers and site teams.\nEnsure correct utilization and consumption of drilling tools at customer sites.\nMonitor drilling performance, tool life, consumption trends, and drill meterage.\nInvestigate tool failures, conduct basic failure analysis, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.\nConduct regular site visits to monitor application performance and provide hands-on technical support.\nPrepare technical performance reports, Daily Progress Reports (DPR), and site visit reports.\nCoordinate with product specialists and marketing teams to ensure the right tool selection for specific applications.\nCustomer Relationship Management.\nBuild and maintain strong working relationships with customers, site teams, and key stakeholders.\nSupport customers by resolving technical, application, and operational issues in a timely manner.\nIdentify opportunities to improve product performance, customer satisfaction, and overall site productivity.\nDealer Support\nSupport and develop channel partners through regular engagement, product support, and application guidance.\nAssist dealers in resolving product application issues, operational concerns, and warranty-related cases.\nMonitor dealer performance and recommend improvement actions to enhance customer service and business effectiveness.\nDevelop dealer engineers' technical competence through regular training, coaching, and application support.\nCompetence development of dealer engineers\nPlanning & Inventory Management\nPlan and maintain site inventory to ensure uninterrupted operations and avoid stock-out situations.\nPrepare and submit material requirements based on customer forecasts, consumption trends, and contractual commitments.\nReview monthly forecasts and align inventory planning with site requirements and business priorities.\nMonitor stock levels, conduct inventory reconciliation, and maintain accurate inventory records.\nEnsure timely procurement of consumables while maintaining agreed buffer stock levels.\nTrack order status, dispatch schedules, shipment movement, and delivery timelines.\nCoordinate material transfers between warehouses, dealers, and mine sites as required.\nPrepare periodic inventory, consumption, forecast, and variance reports for review.\nLogistics Coordination\nCoordinate with logistics and supply chain teams for timely submission of forecasts and material requirements.\nMonitor Goods in Transit (GIT) and proactively follow up to avoid delivery delays.\nRecommend appropriate shipment modes based on urgency, cost, and operational requirements.\nSupport preventive planning to avoid material shortages and ensure smooth site operations.\nQualifications:\nBachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mining Engineering, or a related discipline.\nKnowledge of surface and underground drilling applications is preferred.\nExperience\n3-7 years of experience in mining, construction, heavy equipment, drilling tools, or industrial consumables.\nExperience in application engineering, customer technical support, product support, or field service is preferred.\nRequired Skills.\nStrong knowledge of mining, drilling, construction equipment, or rock drilling tools.\nInventory planning, material management, and consumption monitoring.\nForecasting, supply chain coordination, and logistics follow-up.\nCustomer relationship management and dealer support.\nAnalytical thinking, problem-solving, and basic failure analysis.\nGood communication, reporting, and presentation skills.\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems; SAP experience will be an added advantage.\nAbility to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and travel to customer sites as required.\nPreferred Attributes\nCustomer-focused and service-oriented approach.\nStrong planning, ownership, and organizational skills.\nTeam player with the ability to coordinate across sales, service, logistics, and product teams.\nrequired.\nWillingness to travel frequently to customer sites, dealers, and project locations.\n\nIt all starts with people.
