Process orders to meet company standards of safety, security, and productivity and on time delivery. Applicants must possess good fork lift driving skills. Accurately label and sort orders for warehousing. Move product to storage areas with proper equipment. Prepare product for heat treat. Receive product from heat treat. Other duties as assigned.\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:\nFollow blueprints and other written and verbal specifications.\nAble to assemble product as required for customer orders.\nOperates production line equipment of a level of complexity requiring the specified training of assembling products, units, machines, equipment and/or subassemblies.\nInstalls moving parts, such as shafts, levers or bearings and works them to test free movement.\nMay test or assist in testing operation of completed product.\nAble to operate forklift.\nAttach and align machine parts such as rollers, guides, brushes, and blades, using hand tools\nAttach hoses or nozzles to machines, using wrenches and pliers, and make adjustments to obtain the proper dispersion of spray\nClean machines, related equipment, and work areas, using water, solvents and other cleaning aids\nDetermine paint flow, viscosity, and coating quality by performing visual inspections, or by using viscometers\nFill hoppers, reservoirs, troughs, or pans with material used to coat, paint, or spray, using conveyors or pails.\nHold or position spray guns to direct spray onto articles\nOperate auxiliary machines or equipment used in coating or painting processes\nPaint small items and perform touch-up painting, using paint brushes\nPlace items or products on feed-racks, spindles, or reel strands to coat, paint, or spray them, using hands, hoists, or truck-lifts\nPrepare and apply stencils, computer-generated decals, or other decorative items to finished products\nSelect appropriate coatings, paints, or sprays, or prepare them by mixing substances according to formulas, using automated paint mixing equipment\nSet up and operate machines to paint or coat products with such materials as silver and copper solution, rubber, paint, glaze, oil, or rustproofing materials\nSpray coated products with salt solutions to determine how they will resist corrosion\nPrepare product for shipment with proper components, packaging and labeling taken from information pick lists.\nMonitor supplies necessary to package and ship product from our location.\nRe-stock supplies in proper location upon receipt from vendors.\nPractice the safety guidelines for lifting and handling product.\nIdeal candidate should be reliable, self-motivated and a team player.\nAble to cross-train in other areas within the department\nMust be able to lift 50 pounds.\nWill be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned\nKNOWLEDGE / EDUCATION:\nHigh School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred\nA.A. degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school in the machinist trade is a plus.\nBasic Computer Skills\nBasic Math Skills\nForklift certification preferred\nKnowledge of blue prints and precision measuring instruments is beneficial\nEXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:\nOne to two years related experience\nPrevious manufacturing experience a plus\nCOMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS:\nAbility to operate equipment in a safe and controlled manner\nAbility to follow instructions, both written and oral.\nMust be able to work in an environment with frequently changing temperatures.\nExcellent oral and written communication skills\nExcellent time management skills.\nAbility to work with minimal guidance.\nAbility to work well with others and as part of a team.\nThe Company has reviewed this job description to ensure that essential functions and basic duties have been included.
