Working closely with production, engineering and other cross-functional teams, you will develop and optimise manufacturing methods, processes and workflows while supporting continuous improvement across the operation.\nKey responsibilities:\nDevelop and maintain assembly procedures, work instructions and checklists\nReview and improve assembly methods, workflows and line balancing to increase productivity and efficiency\nDevelop and improve testing and inspection methods within assembly\nIdentify and implement appropriate tools, fixtures and equipment to support safe and efficient production\nIdentify opportunities to reduce product costs while maintaining safety, quality and performance\nParticipate in and lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, cost and productivity\nInvestigate production and quality issues, implement corrective actions and communicate outcomes to relevant stakeholders\nCoordinate and chair Production Situation Meetings (PSM), including prioritising and documenting production issues and actions\nIdentify opportunities to improve sequencing, remove production bottlenecks and support more efficient product design and assembly\nSupport new product development, including prototype and pre-series builds\nLead production development and manufacturing improvement projects\nParticipate in risk assessments for new or modified manufacturing processes and working methods\nIdentify opportunities to outsource sub-assemblies where operationally and commercially appropriate\nAbout you\nTo thrive in this role, you’ll bring:\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or a related Engineering discipline\n3+ years’ experience in production, manufacturing or process engineering\nStrong problem-solving skills with demonstrated experience implementing process improvements\nProficiency in CAD and production design tools such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD\nKnowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies\nHands-on understanding of manufacturing processes, machinery and automation\nStrong analytical skills and attention to detail\nExcellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple teams\nAbility to manage priorities and deliver outcomes in a fast-paced production environment\nSound knowledge of workplace safety requirements and quality control standards\nWhat We Offer:\nAn influential role within a global, forward-thinking organisation\nCompetitive remuneration\nCompany-paid income protection\nLong service leave entitlements abovethe National Employment Standard\nA Collaborative and team working environment, team-oriented culture\nIf you’re a hands-on Production Engineer who enjoys solving problems, improving processes and working collaboratively to make manufacturing safer and more efficient, we’d love to hear from you.\n\nIt all starts with people.
