This individual will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where the ability to multi-task is essential.\nWork Type (Onsite): This position will be based onsite at our Dexter, MI facility. This job opening is not eligible for immigration/work visa sponsorship\nShift Timings: 2nd shift (2:30 pm-1am, with shift premium)\nResponsibilities:\nOperate and process parts according to print and traveler requirements\nMonitor machine cutting performance and utilization\nUnderstand machine setup, including program retrieval, proper gases, proper nozzles, and materials\nUnderstand start-up and shutdown for laser machines\nDiagnose machining problems while performing jobs, making modifications as needed\nPerform laser cutting operations efficiently and effectively, per specifications\nCheck the quality of the product machined and notify the supervisor of process issues\nMaintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations\nKnowledge/Education:\nHigh School diploma or equivalent\nProficiency in interpreting technical documentation for problem solving and analytical purposes.\nPreferred previous experience operating laser machines or similar equipment\nSkills and Abilities:\nAbility to operate overhead cranes, tape measures, calipers, and hand tools\nAbility to operate and navigate in a Windows-based computer environment \nPrevious experience operating laser cutting equipment or similar manufacturing machinery. \nExperience using measuring tools such as tape measures and calipers. \nExperience operating overhead cranes and hand tools.\nNote: This job description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties, responsibilities, or qualifications associated with the job.
