In this role, you will be responsible for loading and unloading parts from the powder coating line, ensuring products move efficiently through the paint process, and performing powder coat painting operations as needed. This position plays a critical role in delivering high-quality finished products while supporting production schedules and customer expectations.\nWork Type-Onsite: This position will be based onsite at our Dexter, MI facility. Details will be provided during the interview process.\nResponsibilities:\nProper set-up of painting equipment. Inspect spray guns and replace worn parts, perform color changes, prepare conveyor for parts hanging, perform and fill out daily checklists.\nPrepare parts for proper paint application; includes plugging, masking, DA, and other cosmetic duties as needed. \nLoad and unload parts from the conveyor line using proper methods and checking for a quality paint finish.\nApply powder paints to manufacturer specifications, and use thickness & adhesion testing verification to control process.\nFollows instructions given by Supervisor/Team Leader.\nAbility to identify process issues.\nUnderstand and follow procedures dealing with parts flow and associated paperwork.\nPerform all 5S duties and maintain acceptable 5S standards.\nAbility to work in confined spaces.\nMust pass pulmonary function test physical.\nUnderstand & execute, if necessary, inventory paperwork & computer transactions. \nAdhere to Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) metrics.\nMobility to move within department/plant as assigned. \nKnowledge/Education:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred.\nSkills and Abilities:\nAbility to read and comprehend instructions to perform quality measurements. \nCompetence to use and troubleshoot paint equipment. \nProficiency in using hand and power tools. \nAbility to pay attention to detail.\nCapable of working in a team environment\nAbout us.
