This position provides a unique opportunity to work closely with the PSD Engineering team, divisional engineers, and the Aftermarket Engineering team to deliver high-impact value analysis and value engineering initiatives. The role is integral to enhancing product value and optimizing cost efficiency while maintaining a strong customer focus.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead and conduct comprehensive value analysis and value engineering (VA/VE) studies to identify cost savings and design improvements.\nIdentify and implement cost-saving opportunities across product designs and manufacturing processes without compromising quality or functionality.\nCollaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including design, manufacturing, and aftermarket services to develop and execute value improvement strategies.\nEvaluate product and part functionality to ensure alignment with customer needs and organizational goals for cost-effectiveness.\nPrepare and present detailed reports on value engineering findings, providing actionable insights to steering committees and key stakeholders.\nConduct thorough cost-benefit analyses to support evidence-based decision-making processes.\nRecommend and drive design changes that enhance product value, reliability, and customer satisfaction.\nMaintain project documentation rigorously following ISO standards and compliance with Epiroc's business code of practice.\nManage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring timely delivery, quality outputs, and adherence to established operating procedures.\nProvide training, mentorship, and support to team members on the principles and practical applications of value engineering.\nCoordinate with division engineers and other cross-functional team members to maximize the full potential of engineering initiatives.\nUtilize PDM/PLM systems to support engineering release processes and maintain accurate records.\nDrive continuous improvement by upgrading internal processes and team competencies aligned with industry best practices and technological advancements.\nEngage regularly with customers to obtain feedback, foster strong relationships, and implement improvements that increase customer satisfaction and support sustainable business growth.\nCandidate Profile\nWe are looking for candidates with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, accompanied by 3 to 6 years of professional experience focused on value analysis and value engineering.
