You’ll join a highly skilled engineering team with deep operating-system expertise and play a key part in shaping the next generation of our embedded platform architecture.\nYour Mission\nDevelop and maintain custom Linux distributions using the Yocto Project.\nImplement and optimize kernel configurations and device drivers for various hardware platforms.\nPerform system level debugging and root cause analysis for complex issues across hardware and software layers.\nEnsure real-time performance, security hardening, and compliance with industry standards.\nCollaborate with hardware engineers for board bring-up, bootloader customization, and peripheral integration.\nContribute to system architecture discussions and propose improvements for scalability and maintainability.\nWork with cross-compilation toolchains, build systems, and CI/CD pipelines for embedded environments.\nDevelop HIL tests to verify functionality and performance using Pytest.\nYour Profile\nTechnical Requirements\nExpertise in embedded Linux development, including kernel, drivers, and user-space components (full stack).\nStrong experience with the Yocto Project and custom layer development.\nProficiency in C/C++ for system-level programming and debugging.\nExperienced using oscilloscope, CAN Analyzer and similar hardware tools.\nSolid understanding of bootloaders (U-Boot, GRUB), device trees, and low-level hardware interfaces (I2C, SPI, CAN, etc.).\nFamiliarity with real-time Linux (PREEMPT-RT) and performance tuning.\nExperience with cross-compilation, build systems, and CI/CD for embedded systems.\nKnowledge of security hardening, and secure boot concepts.\nExperience with Pytest.\nNice-to-have skills\nContainerization in embedded environments (Docker, Podman, etc).\nExperience with OTA update frameworks and system recovery mechanisms.\nComfortable to be hands-on with hardware, soldering etc.\nDeep understanding in CAN networks.\nKnowledge of English is a must and knowledge of Swedish is advantage\nOther\nCollaboration skills\nFluent knowledge of English is a must and knowledge of Swedish language is an advantage\nLocation\nThis position is based in Örebro, Sweden.\nApplication and contacts\nPlease send your application, including CV and personal letter, by creating an account in our recruitment system as soon as possible but no later than 2026-10-15.
