This is a highly technical, hands-on role.\nYou will be the vital link between our product's architecture and our clients' varied technical landscapes. This role requires the ability to be both a hands-on architect and navigating complex client IT, security, and application environments (AWS, GCP, private cloud, or on-prem) to successfully deploy our product and ensure immediate value realization.\nAbout Epistemix\nThe most consequential decisions in public health, life sciences, insurance, and enterprise strategy share a common problem: they involve human behavior, network effects, and downstream effects that cannot be safely tested before action is taken. Traditional analytical techniques built on historical data were not built for this. Epistemix was.\nWe build simulation and data-driven modeling tools that let leaders visualize how strategies will unfold across populations and systems before they commit resources. By clarifying which variables drive outcomes, where leverage exists, and how they interact, we help organizations move from uncertainty to conviction. Getting these decisions right means faster interventions, better-allocated resources, and measurable improvements in human and economic outcomes. We exist to make that possible.\nOur platform gives organizations access to realistic, high-resolution population data and the modeling infrastructure to run scenario planning at scale. Together, these capabilities let decision-makers stress-test strategies in a controlled environment before deploying them in the real world across healthcare, consumer industries, insurance, and government. We are approaching our Series B and actively building the team that will define what comes next.\nResponsibilities\nDesign and execute the technical strategy for integrating the Epistemix platform into client environments.\n\nLeverage Terraform, Kubernetes and Docker across client environments, ensuring security and repeatability with a primary focus on AWS and data connections like Snowflake and Databricks.\n\nInterface with client IT organization to understand infrastructure environment and provide architectural guidance during implementation.\n\nEnsure all client-side integration and deployment methods are designed to meet rigorous standards, including SOC 2 and ISO 27001, HIPAA.\n\nWork with client IT organizations to set deployments in complex settings, including public cloud (AWS/GCP), private cloud, and traditional on-premises/dedicated application environments.\n\nDevelop and use custom automation tooling (Python is a must) to streamline deployment processes, integrating with client-side identity and access management (e.g., OAuth2/OIDC).\n\nQualifications\n8+ years of industry experience, 3+ years of architectural implementation experience\n\nHands on and expert level experience in:\nPython, Fast API and/or Django\n\nTerraform. Additional knowledge of Kubernetes, and Docker highly preferred.\n\nAWS infrastructure. General architectural mastery of another major cloud provider (GCP) is highly valued.\n\nBachelors Degree in Computer Science or a relevant technical discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, Epidemiology, or Public Health\n\nDemonstrated experience managing or contributing to organizational compliance programs, specifically the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to HIPAA (HITECH Act) privacy/security rules and achieving SOC 2 attestation\n\nExperience with data warehouse integrations with Snowflake, Databricks or other data warehouse platforms.\n\nExperience managing and supporting deployments in environments beyond public cloud (e.g., on-premise, private cloud, or dedicated client application environments).\n\nNice to Have Experience\nFamiliarity with the architectural demands of distributed computing libraries (Ray, Modin, Pandas) is highly valued.\n\nFamiliarity with JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, and React.\n\nFamiliarity with leveraging generative AI tools in engineering workflows (e.g., Claude Code, Devin, Coderabbit).\n\nWhy Join Epistemix?\nBy joining Epistemix, you will become part of a collaborative and rapidly growing team that values curiosity and creativity.
