You will be responsible for working on multi-customer, multi-vendor configuration projects as an individual or part of a team. The Sr. Configuration Center Technician works to ensure configuration projects are delivered on-time, within budget and at 100% accuracy. This position may work closely with the Project Management Team(s) and Warehouse Team to ensure project goals are met.\nFrom strategy to fulfillment to managed services, our engineering centric solutions enable our clients to realize what it means for technology to do more.\nYour Impact\nThe essential functions of this position include:\nAdvanced knowledge of performing imaging services of desktops and laptops via SCCM, MS AutoPilot, and/or Symantec Ghost.\nAdvanced knowledge of SCCM processes and procedures and workflows.\nAdvanced knowledge of MS Intune and Autopilot, as well as other MDM solutions.\nAdvanced knowledge with CLI/GUI configuration on routers and switches across multiple OEMs.\nProvide remote access to other ePlus engineers and/or customers as needed.\nLead efforts for installing hardware into rack cabinets, following detailed rack elevation diagrams.\nLead efforts for following cabling diagrams, installing network cables from servers to top of rack switches within a rack/cabinet.\nAdvanced knowledge regarding different types of transceivers, network cables, and power cables.\nTrain and lead Associates and Technicians in troubleshooting efforts and perform remediation repairs.\nDevelop and maintain comprehensive, step-by-step configuration procedures to guide Configuration Center personnel in executing customer project configurations accurately and consistently.\nWork within a ticketing system to perform tasks.\nServe the customer to ePlus’ standards.\nOrganized and responsive to both customer facing emails and internally within ePlus.\nWork with multiple departments to solve problems.\nInternal Control responsibilities vary by role and are subject to change. Please discuss your individual internal control responsibilities with your immediate supervisor on a regular basis.\nHandle confidential matters and information professionally.\nConduct business in a professional, competent and ethical manner.\nAdhere to corporate policies and procedures.\nQualifications\nHigh school diploma or equivalent with 5-7 years of relevant experience.\nBachelor’s degree in a technical field preferred, with 5+ years of hands-on IT experience.\nStrong customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally and effectively with customers by phone and in person.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills and a professional demeanor.\nAbility to provide day-to-day leadership and guidance to technicians and configuration associates within the Configuration Center.\nStrong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly assess issues and identify effective solutions.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications.\nAbility to lift and handle PCs, servers, peripherals, and network equipment, as required.\nAbility to collaborate and communicate effectively across multiple departments and teams.\nStrong attention to detail, with the ability to accurately track equipment, troubleshoot issues, and resolve problems.\nHighly organized, proactive, and adaptable, with strong time-management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.\nDemonstrated commitment to quality assurance, accuracy, and adherence to established processes and standards.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nCisco CCNP certification.\nAdditional industry recognized LAN/WAN networking certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, VMware VCP, etc.).\nAdvanced technical certifications from relevant technology vendors.\nPhysical Requirements\nAbility of finger dexterity to be used primarily to make small movements such as typing, picking up small objects or pinching fingers together. Movements frequently and regularly required using the wrists, hands and / or fingers. Speech ability must be at a level where one must convey detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately, loudly or quickly. Hearing ability must be at a level to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information. Visual ability must be average with ordinary visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents or products, or operate machinery. Physical strength for sedentary work with sitting most of the time. May have to exert or lift up to 50-75 pounds of force occasionally and active work that could include climbing a ladder and using power tools.\nPosition Specifics\nThe initial base salary range for this position is expected to be between $28.90 and $36.05 hourly. The final base salary offered will be determined by multiple factors, including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, depth of experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, our compensation package may include other components such as commissions and discretionary bonuses.\nePlus offers a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility, employee stock purchase program and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and personal leave), dependent on the position offered.
