Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with other software developers, business analysts and software architects to plan, design, develop, test, and maintain web-based business applications built on Microsoft and other similar frameworks and technologies.
• Excellent skills and hands-on experience in developing front-end applications along with middleware and back-end.
• Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits.
• Ability to think creatively to push beyond the boundaries of existing practices and mindsets.
• Use knowledge to create new and improve existing processes in terms of design and performance.
• Prepare reports, manuals and other documentation on the status, operation and maintenance of software.
• Research and evaluate a variety of software products.
• Participate in peer-reviews of solution designs and related code.
• Package and support deployment of releases.
• Participate, plan and execute fun team-building activities.

Requirements:

• Solid teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of experience in software engineering.
• Demonstrated experience driving delivery through strong delivery practices across complex programmes of work.
• Strong communication skills.
• Must be detail-orientated and can manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Willingness to learn new skills and apply them for developing new-age applications.
• Experience in OOPS, . NET Framework, C#, REST APIs, MVC, Web API, and JSON.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery; unit testing (NUnit); and cloud (AWS/Azure).
• Has knowledge of front-end frameworks such as React/Angular.
• Knowledge of database technology such as MySQL, Oracle, and DynamoDB. Basic Oracle SQL and PL/SQL are a huge plus.
• Strong relational database design knowledge. Must have knowledge of database models.
• Knowledge of version control tools like GitHub, VSTS, etc. is a must.
• Experience solving complex and large-scale software problems.
• Agile Development, Dev Ops (CI/CD).

Desirable skills and experience:

• WPF (MVVM), Web Services (WCF), Windows Services.
• Other web tools: Web Performance Testing.
• Responsive web (Bootstrap).
• Proficient in AWS Redshift and S3
• Experience with the Unix/Linux command line and bash shell is good to have.
• Experience in AWS, Redshift or equivalent databases, Lambda functions, and Snowflake DB types.
• Proficient in Unix shell scripting and, good to have, Python.
• Knowledge of AWS EC2 S3 AMI, etc.
