The role offers hybrid working, three days in the office, and two days from home following successful completion of the probation period. The working week is 37.5 hours, scheduled between 07:00 and 19:00.\nSalary £33,000 to £35,000\nYour Contribution\nAs an R&D Mechanical Engineer, you will support the development of innovative and cost-effective refrigeration solutions. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to product design, continuous improvement and successful project delivery.\nResponsibilities\nDesign and develop chilled display cabinet solutions using 3D CAD tools ensuring products meet customer, manufacturing and performance requirements.\n\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, both locally and across the wider Epta Group, to support successful project delivery.\n\nMaintain engineering documentation, BOMs and product data to support manufacturing and product lifecycle management.\n\nApply knowledge of sheet metal design and manufacturing processes to develop cost-effective products that balance performance, quality and commercial objectives.\nManage short-term projects from concept through to successful completion, meeting agreed quality, cost and timescale targets.\n\nEnsure compliance with company procedures while supporting continuous improvement and customer-focused solutions.\n\nYour Journey\nYou are a proactive and adaptable team player with strong communication, problem-solving and organisational skills. You can work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team, demonstrating initiative, attention to detail and continuous improvement mindset.\nTo succeed in this role, you will bring the following qualifications, skills and capabilities:\nHND/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.\n\nStrong verbal and written communication skills in English.\n\nProficiency in 3D CAD design software, preferably Solid Edge.\n\nAbility to prioritise workloads and manage tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.\n\nKnowledge of sheet metal design and manufacturing processes.\nLocated within a reasonable commuting distance of our Bradford site.\n\nWhilst not essential, the following experience would be preferred:\nExperience using SAP, MRP systems and BOM management systems.\nRefrigeration or electrical engineering knowledge.\nThis is not an exhaustive list, and duties may evolve in line with business and project requirements.\nDon’t let a few unmet requirements chill your enthusiasm!
