Responsible for all incoming, start-up, in-process, and final inspections to ensure product meets specifications including required documentation. Work with production personnel to resolve quality discrepancies and ensure acceptable product.\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nUtilizes engineering drawings, gauges, comparator, vision system, microscopes, templates, and other inspection equipment/aids to ensure all product meets the customer specifications.\nEnsures that all required process operations have been performed on the product.\nRecords all quality data and notes into the appropriate electronic or manual systems.\nGood documentation, record keeping, and communication is required for all personnel. \nNotifies the appropriate personnel if product defects and/or process problems are identified or if product rejects exceed acceptable levels.\nProvides timely feedback to manufacturing if non-conforming product is identified.\nSorts and Reworks: Sorting and/or reworking product that does not conform to the customer requirements. Properly documents and labels to identify the status of non-conforming product. Sampling and gaging of reject product may also be required.\nFollow specifications and procedures for manufacturing, i.e., process sheets, work orders and any other special instructions.\nProper handling of all material, parts, and equipment to prevent damage and loss of finished product.\nOTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:\nAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.\nAbility to operate a personal computer including using a Windows based operating system and related software.\nProperly utilize evacuation system to minimize exposure to hazards.\nProvide accurate and complete turnover from shift to shift.\nGood housekeeping and safe working habits.\nThe above statements describe the general nature and level of work being performed in this job.
