This role balances hands-on leadership with operational excellence, focusing on team development, process improvement, safety compliance, and carrier management.\nRequired (Minimum) Qualifications:\nEducation: Bachelor´s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or an equivalent combination of education and experience\nExperience: Proven background in leadership in inventory and warehouse operations\nTechnical Skills: Proficiency in SAP (or similar ERP/WMS/TMS systems) and Microsoft Office; strong knowledge of LTL, parcel, international shipping, customs requirements, and DOT regulations\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n5+ years of progressive experience in logistics, warehouse, and distribution operations\nPrior experience in After Sales or spare parts environments\n\nValid driver’s license with a good driving record and certification to operate powered equipment (forklift, hydraulic jack lift).\n\nResponsibilities:\nDistribution & Operations\nManage daily shipping, receiving, storage, and material transfer activities (including After Sales parts and transfers from production plants like Sheet Metal, Paint, and Case Plant).\nOversee the scheduling and execution of LTL, parcel, and international shipments, ensuring accurate packing, documentation, labeling, and kit assembly.\nCoordinate with Supply Chain and Customer Service to resolve shipping errors or damaged goods.\nTeam Leadership & Development\nSupervise, coach, and develop warehouse leads and hourly staff, performing managerial duties at least 50% of the time.\nCreate and maintain a training matrix to foster cross-training, high performance, and a culture of accountability.\nConduct performance reviews, establish priorities, schedule associates, and handle counseling or disciplinary actions as needed.\nCarrier & Vendor Management\nManage relationships and service level agreements (SLAs) with LTL, parcel, and 3PL carriers.\nTrack carrier performance metrics (on-time delivery, damages, claims) and lead freight claim resolutions.\nEnsure strict adherence to Incoterms, customs requirements (e.g., Canada CARM), and company shipping policies.\nProcess Improvement & Systems\nDrive operational efficiency through Lean, 5S standards, and automation initiatives (WMS/SAP, barcode scanning).\nMonitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as lines shipped per hour, labor costs, and claims ratios.\nPartner with IT and Supply Chain to implement system integrations and tracking projects.\nSafety & Compliance\nEnforce and maintain strict compliance with OSHA, DOT, and internal safety policies.\nEnsure proper handling, storage, and truck/trailer disposition of materials to maintain a safe, 5S-compliant warehouse environment.\nDon’t let a few unmet requirements chill your enthusiasm!
