opportunity has arisen to recruit an Operations Team Lead at Corby Power Station.\nCorby Power Station is not currently operational, however we are currenty looking at future options to repower the site to help fulfil the UK's energy demands.\nThis role will provide leadership to the Operations team and support the management of the site to ensure flexibility for any future options at the site.\nKey Responsibilities\nReporting to the Site Team Leader, the key duties and responsibility will include:\nActing as the Site Team Lead in their absence.\nBe the site lead for all aspects of Safety Rules Management including Authorisation Officer.\nEnacting the role of Emergency Controller if required when implementing site Emergency Plans.\nCo-ordinating first line and preventative maintenance activities carried out by the Operations team.\nEnsure compliance with relevant legislation, site procedures and best practice standards.\nWork flexibly to meet changing operational and business requirements.\nMaintaining and improving competencies as specified to meet site requirements as specified in personal targets and objectives.\nLeading the production and maintenance of site procedures.\nSkills, Knowledge and Expertise\nBackground\nDemonstrable experience within the power generation industry or another industry with transferrable skills.\nBehaviours\nAbility to be a Senior Authorised Person under the company safety rules.\nStrong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.\nAbility to lead a team and work across teams.\nAbility to identify improvements and take initiatives to the betterment of the business.\nFlexible approach adapting quickly to things new, changes in the job and work environment and who enjoys being fully involved in ensuring the business is a success.\nGood numeracy, literacy and problem solving skills.\n Qualifications\nCompleted a recognised formal training programme or apprenticeship to achieve technician status (C&G parts I, II &III).\nHNC/D or equivalent in a relevant discipline, and or extensive experience within CCGT Operations.\nHave or be working towards a NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent).\nDemonstrable competence in use of IT/IS skills e.g. MS
