Every Patient Matters.\n There are currently casual chef positions based at Epworth Freemasons, where you will be responsible for ensuring the food services provided to our patients, visitors and staff is of the highest standards at all times. You will be part of the Food Services team and report to Head Chef.\nYou will make an impact by:\nBeing passionate about delivering exceptional food to boost the patient experience,\nBeing accountable in the quality of your meals prepared,\nBeing a team player and assisting colleagues as required,\nBeing innovative in preparing contemporary meals to improve the overall patient satisfaction \nWorking independently and timely whilst maintaining our standards.\nTo be successful in this role…\nYou will have:\nA certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery\nA Food Handler Certificate (Min - Level 1 Or willing to obtain)\nA minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Trade Cook\nHospital experience preferred, but not essential.\nExceptional knowledge of all elements of cooking and serving, and strict adhered to food safety.\nA solid understanding of allergens management and dietary requirements. \nPrevious experience in all areas of production, ready to eat meals and cook fresh meals.\nThe availability to work a rotating seven-day roster including AM and PM shifts, weekends and public holidays\nA professional, can do, team approach to your work\nDrive to enhancing the patient experience through outstanding food service delivery\nPosition Description Inherent Requirements\nWe will review applications as we receive them.\nAbout Epworth Freemasons\nLocated in East Melbourne, close to public transport and the CBD, Epworth Freemasons provides a range of world-class health services.
