There are three high school campuses, The NET: Central City which opened in 2011, The NET: Gentilly which opened in 2017, and a third high school campus, The NET: East, which opened in 2020 as a merger with ReNEWAccelerated High School. The NET: East is located on a wrap-around center called the New Orleans East Opportunity Center, which also houses the Bridge Middle School and the NEST, a licensedchildcare site.\nStudents at the high schools earn a high school diploma and participate in internships, career counseling, and career training in various fields including construction, medical, and digital media. EQA also serves middle school students through The Bridge Middle School, a therapeutic program for 7th and 8th grade struggling students. For all settings, our goal is that our students leave school with the skills, confidence and experience necessary to succeed in the career and education path of their choice.\nAbout the Role\nThe Operations Manager will work closely with the COO, Director of Operations, and School Leaders to ensure that students and staff have the operational resources they need to succeed - including a functional facility, access to the materials needed to complete their jobs, and effective contracted services. School Operations consists of all the “behind the scenes” work - this team keeps the wheels turning so teachers can focus on teaching and school leaders can focus on leading.\nKey Responsibilities\nSchool Operations\nDevelop, implement, and refine systems and procedures to support execution of all school operations each day, includingFood service\nCustodial\nTransportation\nGeneral facility maintenance\nProcurement\nIT / Asset tracking and management\nSchool Safety and Security \n\nDevelop, implement, and refine systems for improving the operational health of schools, in order to provide feedback and identify areas of support needed for staff\nFacilities\nRespond quickly and appropriately to all facility issues raised by staff\nComplete basic facility maintenance and repairs to resolve low-level issues\nCoordinate and manage all facilities service vendors to ensure that schools are always suitable environments for teaching and learning\nCoordinate use of facilities for special events\nIT & Data\nRespond quickly and appropriately to all IT issues raised by staff\nComplete basic IT maintenance and repairs to resolve low-level issues\nSupport staff and students in learning and using hardware and software\nTrack and manage all IT assets\nQualifications\nRequiredBA or BS\nAbility to complete facilities maintenance work\nAbility to complete basic IT support and troubleshooting\nAbility to lift 50 pounds\nPersonal vehicle\nExcellent communication, interpersonal, relationship building, and management skills\nLearning mindset dedicated to effectively and innovatively problem solving and constantly improving\nPassion for improving educational opportunities for urban students and for being a part of a strong, mission-driven team\nCommitment to EQA’s mission, vision and growth\n\nPreferredExperience working in a public charter school environment\nExperience working with Google Apps for Education\nPast experience working with student information systems\n\nHiring Logistics\nStart Date: ASAP\nSalary: $50,000 - $55,000\nBenefits: Comprehensive benefits and generous 403(b) retirement plan\nReports to: Director of Facilities and Operations \nEQA encourages individuals of all identities and backgrounds to apply for this position.
